We gave my wife's precious 16 yo Volvo wagon to our daughter who scraped the pristine finish getting a white paint streak across both doors. It was easily removed with rubbing (followed by polishing compound to restore the glisten). The only caution is to be careful with how hard you rub with rubbing compound as it is possible to remove the entire layer of paint!
