I have used this type of push light for many years for camping and power outages. And was glad to find that they are still available as I show my family how to navigate a power outage. It provides soft light so is not blinding and is easy to find and turn on when in the dark. I think of it as a low-powered flashlight that is easy to click on with one hand allowing me to then find my way around a familiar space or get my hands on a much brighter light. Young children can easily find it and turn it on. It is not bright enough for task lighting in my opinion, nor do I expect it to remain on for hours at a time. Keep one on the bedside table or sitting next to you to quickly push on if power outages are imminent or you are camping. Keep one on the floor to tap on with your foot.

It functions well but the light is very dim. More mood lighting than anything else..

These are great to have. I have one in every room above the doors including bathrooms. Hallways too. If power were to ever go out, my kids know to press lights to illuminate everywhere so theres lights to move around the house.
