Crabtree Capital Socket (2G 13A DP) - GB6:4306/D

I like MK but the quality doesn't always seem to be what it was. The always next-best was Crabtree (a famous British brand but now owned by Germany's Siemens) or Contactum (hard to find now). This range is still made in the UK. Crabtree seem to be as good as ever and very easy to fit. The terminals are large with good screw heads that don't get chewed up (like MK!). The switches are robust and have a great action. Plugs go in satisfyingly (as they always did with Crabtree). Some people will say the design isn't as stylish as MK (or any of the companies that copied MK's curved edge look), as this Crabtree design has been in production since the late 1980s, but for me that makes it a reliable classic. FYI Volex is part of Crabtree and make a very similar line of sockets. There is also the Crabtree Instinct range (in the curved look but not made in the UK) if you want a more trendy installation. Don't overpay on here, though.
