This roller works great for putting mud in the corners before applying tape or corner bead. Just dip in mud and roll away. It speeds up the first coat process.

Nice angle roller little pricey though. Wish the handle would have threads on it so that you’re not just limited to one certain pole.

These rollers are a great help for applying mud, but they do have a couple of major flaws. 1- yes, the black plastic nap of the roller comes off and gets into your mud, so you end up having to pick them out and re-smooth it. 2- the handles are not threaded inside so you can’t attach them to an extension pole, unless you buy an adapter. 3- the corner roller- the metal bar from the roller to the handle is too close to the roller and LOTS of mud collects on that piece and plops onto the floor if you don’t keep a close eye on it

This absolutely does NOT do what it is supposed to do. The seam that is supposed to prevent compound buildup in the corner actually prevents any compound from getting withing 1.5 inches of the corner. Also, it sheds black curly bits into your texture on EVERY SINGLE PASS, which have to be picked out with your taping knife, and if not picked out they resemble pubic hairs... they are curly, stiff and they stand out. I AM SUPER ANNOYED. This is an overpriced item to start with, it should at least not sabotage the texturing project with obscene thick black curly whirlies. Honestly, I handled enough of the black curly "hairs" I started to become nauseated. I did not keep the packaging but I will attempt to return this complete waste of time and money.

It left a ridge or area in corner with out the mud or texture. I was using the texture rollor which worked great. It worked better on an outside corner. Will update with picture
