I purchased this kettle about 1 year and 8 months ago, expecting it to last for years given the high price. Today, I noticed rust forming on the outside, staining the granite countertop, which is extremely disappointing. A premium product should not develop such a problem after such a short period of normal use. I took good care of it, followed all cleaning instructions. For the cost, I expected durability and quality, but this experience has left me frustrated and questioning the brand’s reliability.

Love this kettle! Looks great, and actually use the variable temp much more than expected. Only negative is I bought this because in one of the Q&As it said the color was ‘white’. Is is NOT white... it’s stainless. I ordered a second, just in case there was a mistake, but it arrived same as the first one. In the end, i decided to keep both. Giving one to a friend as house warming.

I have a lot of Smeg products but the way you need to use the product to heat up water is silly and counter intuitive!

Absolutely gorgeous! I got this and the matching toaster and they look awesome on my 50's inspired kitchen counter. The kettle is solid, well constructed and works perfectly. I understand why they put the water gage where they did (it is on the kettle behind the handle). It's location makes it a little difficult to see but it is not a big issue and I wouldn't want it anywhere else on the kettle unless it was possible to have it on the handle itself. The surface is stainless steel and it is easy to keep clean. I've been using it every day for the past couple of months and loving it!

this kettle was great and was delivered in 24 hours.

Although the delivery was very fast, we received a different colour from the one we ordered. We ordered a Cream coloured version but received a Chrome one. We have returned the Chrome model in hopes of receiving the Crmeam coloured version. Thanks
