Royal Luxe Microplush Heated Blanket

This heated blanket is awesome! There are so many great points to this Sunbeam heating blanket! PROS; *Very large blanket - we got the queen and it is perfect for our bed!, *2 seperate heating sections with 2 seperate controlers - this function made my fiance' very happy, *The plug/cord is very long and is flat so sits perfectly under our mattress, *The cords between the plug and the controlers, and then between the controlers themselves are very long and can be tucked away so there is no tripping hazard, *The very long corded area tucks nicely between the wall and mattress - which is nice because you are not wrapped up in a cord while you sleep, *The cord is very thick and does not get warm at all, *The controlers are thick and very well-made, *The controlers come with an on/off button - a heat setting up level 12 - and a hour setting for how many hours you want before it turns off autmatically, *This heating blanket has been a total life saver as temps have been down to 14 degrees and my heating unit is out - I have been able to turn on the blanket to warm the bed while I cook dinner on setting 8 and then turn down to setting 2 when I climb into bed and be super comfy with no heater in my home! *The power cord can be removed from blanket for cleaning, comes with a paper saying how to safely wash the blanket. CONS; I honestly cannot think of any, lol

I loved the cord. Nice and long with the plugin part connected to one of the controllers to use a cord by the bed. One controller drapes off the other with enough cord length to run behind the bed. Best cording system on any electric blanket I’ve ever had and I’ve purchased many over the years. I also like that I can set the auto turnoff to 12 hours. This works great for watching TV prior to going to sleep. Most turn off at 8 hours; thus if I forget to reset it prior to falling asleep, it doesn’t turn off during the night. Love that! It didn’t warm up much at first, but after turning on and off four or five times, it warms up perfectly. I guess it needed some burn-in time. Material is extremely thin, Same thing material on top and bottom unlike most that have warmer material on the bottom. That doesn’t matter much to me other than it is very light weight and doesn’t give the heavy blanket feeling I prefer, but I can throw a heavier blanket on top of it to get a more weighted feeling. Overall, I’m glad I purchased the blanket and love having a cord as it actually should be. Happy with this blanket.

Bought this brand after returning another brand that was just not warm enough. This IS toasty but I noticed a cold spot in the middle & thought it had a broken wire. Returned the blanket & got a replacement immediately. When I put it on the bed I noticed immediately WHY is was cold in the middle--THERE IS NOT ANY WIRING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLANKET. Presumably Sunbeam is trying to save $$ by limiting the heating elements to each side of the blanket (Queen size). So, if I have a child sleeping in the middle with us, the kid is outta luck OR if I were a large person OR like to sleep in the middle of the bed, no heat. Amazing, eh? And I thought only the food companies were screwing us out of a full can of veggies or mayo by downsizing.........now the electric blanket!! I am keeping the blanket but it astounds me how chintzy these companies can be.

This works fine as an electric blanket but even without electricity, this is one warm & comfortable blanket. I sure recommend this blanket.

This electric blanket sure takes the chill off of crawling into cold bed sheets at night! Dual, independently adjustable sides with multiple heat settings for comfort, and time setting for up to 9 and a half hours of warmth. I don't know how I got through winter without this blanket!

I’d give no stars if I could. “heated” is a far stretch. It will MAYBE get 5°-7° warmer than your body temperature. This thing is awful. I’ve purchased several others of the same blanket because they were great I ordered this one. It’s awhile. Material has changed it’s super cheap and thin. The cord is hard and crappy. The control box is cheap and poorly made. This new design is awful. Previous version had 8 setting and it was HOT. This one has 12 settings and the 12 isn’t even as warm as 1 on the previous version. I will no longer be a repeat customer of this sunbeam blanket.

Best part is that there are separate controls so you don't have to agree on a setting. Timer function works great to take the chill off when you first get into bed, then fall asleep without worrying about having to shut it off later. I'm in menopause, and frequently wake up with a hot flash, so I definitely don't need it on all night. Were I to lounge around in bed with this left on, crocheting and watching tv, two is very comfortable, four is noticeably warm, six is toasty, eight is too much. My husband could sleep all night with his slide on four. We're in ATL area and winter gets brisk. I leave heat at 65 at night... so I can quelch a hot flash quickly.

Works really well when placed under my heavy blanket. I use the blanket to “prewarm” my bed while I shower so when I get in, it’s nice and toasty. Sizing is accurate, and works as described. Price is high for the quality because, if I only use the blanket by itself, it’s not nearly as effective. Blanket is soft but isn’t thick, same thinness as average fleece throw blanket so price seems a bit steep. Seems well made & durable.

I have this on my twin bed. After struggling last winter with a throw sized blanket, this is a real treat! I like the soft grey colour. I haven’t had to wash the blanket yet so cannot comment on that. Other electric blankets shed big tufts of fleece. This one does not nor does it pill. I highly recommend this electric blanket. Pay attention to the warning to NOT use on invalids or those who cannot use the control. This is to prevent skin burns and electrical fires. Very important !
