So many great things to say about these...
First of all, for anyone who loves FC Pitt artists pens, these are almost identical in many ways. There are no differences in performance, just subtle differences between colors. I feel like this is a great set to have, in conjunction with the full set of pitt markers, however, this set is brilliant on its own. There are 36 vibrant colors in the set, and when I say vibrant, I mean it! This is one of the difference between them and FC... Pitt pens all wind up with a soft finish, once dried. There pigment pens dry and the color is noticably brighter than FC. A great example is the blues swatch I made. The top pen is Staedtler Pacific blue, and the FC is phthalo blue. They are the closest tones I could get between the two sets, and though they are closest, they are definitely clearly different colors. There are no brighter blues in FC, so I find this to be a great supplement to that set, for me. One of the lovliest things about this set, is the array of colors! I love that this set has more pink and violet tones in it, as opposed to the Staedtler 36 set of watercolor brush pens. This makes me happy, because these sets seem to always have lots of browns and neutrals, but not enough pinks, teals and purples. I am quite satisfied with the selection! Finally, a product that has all the names on them.... This will make it so much easier too combine sets and memorize colors! For professional artists, this set also is light-fast... And you don't need to look too far for the ratings, as they are clearly marked on the barrel of each individual pen! I do think that the entire set could be improved in a minor way, as far as the brush is concerned. It is a compact, felt brush tip, which is flexible at the very end, but gets a bit more stiff as you get closer to the plastic area the nib rests in. They are pretty much exactly like FC, in that regard. However, Staedtler also has some color and grey tones that are available with what they are calling a "soft" brush. I have to say, the soft brush is definitely an improvement, and I think that they should consider using this in every pen like this. Obviously, this is not a make or break issue for me, but for some who are trying to do some calligraphy or letting, you might not get great movement on the upstrokes. This isn't a problem for me, it doesn't effect if I'll purchase again (I WILL!), and it's really something I just think you should be aware of... I DO hope that Staedtler is paying attention to places their customers see any room for improvement. I can scream it's praises enough, this set just does it for me lol!!! Ps... If you are using on watercolor paper, you absolutely CAN use water to soften the lines and fill in the space, with a brush pen.... This is ink, so you have to work fast before it's permanent, but it's actually very easy to do! I am thoroughly enjoying this product.....

Great performance at a great price
The colors and very pigmented and beautiful. The brush pen is very easy to use: not too soft, and not too hard. These are water based so too many layers could damage thin paper. I use these for adult coloring on books that have double sided pages. I can say with confidence these will not bleed through, and also will not show on the opposite side, so long as the paper isn’t too thin. In summary, these are great quality brush pens at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend them.

Good saturated colors and stable brush tips
Juicy, easy to use. the brush tip is a texture I like, not to soft and wishy washy. It keeps its shape well with varying pressure and so far hasn't broken down. nice saturated colors. I got a few of these in Germany and on returning home decided I needed them all. Good variation in thickness, as you can do thin, delicate touches as well as more broad strokes. Looking forward to using these more.

A Great In Between - Performs similar to an Alcohol Marker without the Bleeding!
I absolutely love the Staedtler Pigment arts pens! They are sleek and small to hold in your hand. Dry quickly. Last a very long time in my opinion. I was so excited when I saw they released a pack with MORE colors. These marks are the perfect combo between a regular water based marker and an alcohol marker, and blend a lot better than a water based marker so they function great for those that want an alcohol marker without the bleeding. If Staedtler ever comes out with an even bigger pack, I will be buying them! The brush tip is small enough for small spaces but also good for medium spaces. I’d say if they could make another size or different type of tip, I’d be the first to purchase!

NOT like Pitt markers - no ability to "soften"/blend line with water even when marker is wet
This is just a heads up to all of those who are thinking of purchasing these because they might add more colors to the existing Pitt range by Faber Castell and perform similarly- these are not like Pitt markers in that when you apply them to (dry) acrylic, mixed media, or coated surfaces, they will NOT dissolve out with water or mix into one another. When applied to a slick acrylic painted surface (a canvas I am working on) the ink dried immediately and could not be "softened" with water, as Pitt markers can. The magic of Pitt markers, at least for me, is that on acrylic or sealed surfaces, they have a slight "open" time where you can soften them with water, mix them with a layer of wet paint, and blend them with one another before they dry (when they become permanent and will not move with water and/or additional paint layers). The Staedtler markers dry instantly, and will not budge at all once you apply them. Oddly enough, they did dissolve out on mixed media paper, and never fully set on that surface- I came back to the marks I made the next day with a wet brush, and they bled out. So I don't get it- it looks like the ink medium they are using to make the ink instantly dried and won't budge, but the pigment particles can be lifted out with a rough brushing even after the ink is dried, but only on paper. The pros? Vibrant, juicy, GREAT small brush nib, lightfast. Too bad these aren't a little more "flexible" when wet.

Easy to use
Easy to use, can layer to deepen the color, works well. Wish I’d gotten a larger set!

Great markers I could use 5 million of them
I would love to just say that I have been looking for these for a couple months now. Not specifically this brand but something like this that has the variety of color and the ease of use. I am a retired artist, and now I am doing journaling. Journaling in my Bible.

So Happy!
I have been wanting these for awhile but thought Id have to wait a bit longer. When they went on sale I immediately bought them and they are everything I dreamed they would be. You have to move fast to blend before it dries but I bought the blending liquid as well. When dry it is permanent other than using the blending liquid, allowing different techniques and color layering. The best of all worlds for brush tip markers. I only hope they release more colors so that I dont have to worry about reproducing colors. Doesn't bleed through my thinnest paper. So easy to use. I love them so much !

These absolutely live up to the hype and description of these markers. Great range of colours - very happy to add these to my collection of markers

I am amazed by these markers, they do not show on the reverse except on books with very thin paper. If no design on the reverse it's great, they are giving us colours with different hues so I can mix them. What is missing is a blender I tried the ones I have to no avail. I hope that they will give us more colours in the future. Having colours in matching; light, medium, dark and a blender. I just ordered and received a set of 12 pastel colours, the same as in the 36 set but were a real good price. I am dying for the 60 pen set supposed to come some time.I will keep an eye on them and buy when good prices. These markers are fantastic for coloring books 16/01/26 I bought the 60 pens set I love them more and now wish for a bigger set 72 or 100 maybe?

Fiz varios testes e adorei as canetas. São leves com a ponta brush media perfeita para desenhar e colorir. Me surpreendi com a quantidade de tinta que sai das cores mais escuras. Elas misturam bem, principalmente quando são da mesma familia de cores. Não me arrependo da compra.
