Very happy with the purchase - much better than expected
This is the first breadmaker I have ever used. I was a little hesitant to get one in the first place but happy that I did. I am sure that with skill and time you can produce the same or better bread with a good oven at home. Given that the results are much nicer than what I can find at the local supermarkets, the choice was easy. Plus, I know exactly what the bread is made of, all the time. The recipes that come with the UK model are nice, but I also downloaded the French and German manuals (> google translate) which have different kinds of European bread recipes. I tried about 15 different bread styles so far, white loaf, multi-seed wholemeal, milk bread, rye and spelt mix, french rustic, etc. The machine is very, very easy to use and does produce tasty results, of course using good bread flours and other ingredients. It mixes and bakes the bread evenly, and the crust is much better than I had expected. I made the same multi-seed wholemeal and french rustic breads several times, even with slight variations to the original recipes, and the have come out great every single time, no exception. Thus, highly recommended.

Love it, but latest model not necessary
I absolutely love my bread maker. It's actually my first one and it took me a long, long time to decide which one was the best for me. I was more inclined towards a Panasonic as the brand I was looking into wasn't easily available in the UK (Moulinex). Then within the Panasonic world there's so many to choose from... I like to have the latest model of appliances and that's why I eventually ended up on this one, it looks much nicer than the previous ones. However is price worth the look compared to the last model? Not really (and deep down I knew it). There's just a few more gluten free options which I don't use myself. I tend to use always the same programs for pizza, bread and focaccia - I'm yet to experiment with pasta and jam - and so far amazing results every single time. It comes with a recipe book but I don't always follow it as I like to experiment. However the recipes are not bad at all! Overall, unless you need all the programs and gluten free options, I would go with the previous models which are exactly the same, just not in looks. EDIT: I've used a few more options for pasta, can't fault it. Tried more bread recipes, always good! The last couple of weeks there's been quite a few bread fails and I don't know why, hopefully it's just been a matter of some new flour brand I was using rather than the machine itself. Will update.

Best breadmaker I've met.
This machine was considerably more expensive than I was planning to pay, but it's worth every penny. Solid, well built, and a quality finish. So far, I've made one white, several loaves of 50% wholewheat, and today an olive bread which is still cooling but it looks and smells fantastic. What do I like most? Hard to say, but the fact that the bread slips out of the tin easily and the blade DOESN'T tear a huge chunk out of it has to be up there at the top of the list. It's very quiet - almost inaudible most of the time - which is important for us as we have an open-plan kitchen/living room. Definitely a star buy, and one I wholeheartedly recommend.

Best machine ever
So glad I decided to splash out and buy the next version up when my old machine packed in - this is a brilliant bit of kit - about the only thing it doesn't do is go to the cupboard and get the ingredients out itself ;) Bread is so fluffy - takes a while to cook but even the fast bake loaves are so light and yummy if you are short on time. So many things I want to try I will be the size of a house before long!!

We love the new machine
I bought this to replace a Panasonic bread maker that was far simpler and so old I cannot remember when it was bought. We love the new machine. My old machine standard white loaf recipe required milk powder and the sugar content was measured by the table spoon. The same loaf recipe for this machine does not use dried milk powder and the sugar is measured by the tea spoon. I can achieve the desired crust texture on the medium setting where as on my old machine I used the dark setting. Seeded bread:The automatic seed dispenser gives an even spread of the seeds through out the loaf and a medium texture. My old machine was a manual adding of the seeds when the "beep" sounded. The seeds were no so evenly spread and the bread was a little heavier. We are as yet to try the gluten free recipes but have high hopes based on the bread made so far. If I can edit this review in future I will do so to reflect a more extended use of the product.

Bread maker
Our old Kenwood bread maker had to be replaced, noisy, and the pan had failed again, we decided to try this Panasonic, first time we have used this make. So far results have been perfect, that quiet in operation we had to check to see if it was working, not tried all the recipes yet. Very expensive, but the build quality looks to be far better than our previous machine, and it makes great bread

Great product. Makes a fantastic range of breads, doughs and cakes.
Best of all is that the bread paddle does not get stuck in the base of the bread when its cooked ready to turn out. Last machine I had was a nightmare, could never get the bread out of the "bucket" and ended up with great holes in the base of the bread. I bought this one as the reviews said the the paddle would not stick and it has proved to be well worth the extra money. Love it.

Excellent machine
Delighted when this became available to purchase. It works so well and I’m making good quality bread from the start. I am using the very strong flour as recommended. Quiet in operation, loud click when yeast dispensed. It’s a big machine and you need space for the lid, I suggest you measure up before buying. Delivery was sooner than expected.
