Ballpoint Stick Pens, 43235MWP10TH

Color pens are all the rage with my students. These Staedtler pens were a great find for a very low price, plus they arrived quickly. Initially the pens were kind of tough to open but loosened up nicely. I had to scribble with them a few seconds to get the ink flowing. Other than that they are lovely to write with! Nice, smooth feel, comfortable in the hand, and the colors are so bright. My kids love how I color code everything and these will do the job perfectly.

STAEDTLER PENS were exceptional and I used them all through college, However, at present they are garbage!! the ink is so light it's DEFINETLY not for note-taking or writing. I guess these are more geared toward scribble or coloring. DO NOT BUY if you intend to write or journal. The major issue is the ink is VERY LITE

I liked these, but not as much as the other triangular version of Staedtler that I used. The ones with the grey body and colored caps are better, but they don't have as many colors. They worked fine. Pretty colors. I was happy with them--especially if I didn't compare them to the others. LOL!

I ordered these because I wanted to try a new medium and saw that an amazing ballpoint artist on YouTube uses these. I was a little nervous because of the reviews but noticed that many people writing reviews were using these strictly to write. For drawing/sketching/art/design I think these are wonderful. As other reviewers stated, frequently (in between uses mostly) the pens stop and you have to do a little chicken scratch to get them going but I think that there is a trade off. The flow of ink isn't too heavy which is good for shading and blending, and it doesn't constantly bleed blobs of ink like a standard bic ballpoint (which is GREAT for writing but not so much for small or detailed work). It is possible to get some very very light values which is great because some pens have a heavy ink flow and will make artwork look messy. While I think most people who like doing art with ballpoint pens have many different brands of pen for different purposes, I found this to be easy to work with. Just make sure you have some scratch paper to wipe your ink blobs or start your pen in case it gets stuck. As you can see by my uploaded photo I had some ink blobs, but I wasn't taking care at all to try and wipe them from the nib of my pen. I am still a beginner but I am loving experimenting with this new medium.

Great variation and boldness in ink colors. Several shades, like the lime green, aqua blue/teal, and light purple are extremely hard to find in ballpoint ink pens. But there are major problems in using the pens. They have some difficulty in starting and sudden stopping in the ink flow from time to time. And aren't smooth writing as they require an unusually large amount of force/pressure to write with. Additionally 1 or 2 pens of the pack dried up after only a moderate amount of time in use. They also very easily "eat up" the paper went applied to the same spot heavily. Therefore, I would not recommend these for artists' use or illustrating (as I used them). But they'd be adequate for general office, school, or house-hold use.

I wanted to give no stars: out of 10 pens, 6 did NOT work even after trying to write & scribble with them / they just ended up tearing the paper. They are worthless. I am especially annoyed that you have to pay to return the useless thing in order to get a refund or replacement. They sold garbage / they should fix it. And I rarely write reviews. I like this brand in other items so maybe it is the seller?

I'm still a diehard Bic fan, but these pens could possibly beat them out for my favorite. The inks flow very smoothly and are really vibrant. With the exception of the orange and the light green (which is fine since it's really hard to get yellow-based colors to pop), every color is deep and eye-catching. I also love the design of the pen--so comfortable to hold, and just beautiful casing and design. Not flimsy either, as I've dropped these pens several times and not so much as a crack in the plastic. Way worth the price they're listed for. Staedtler does not disappoint!

2 of the 10 pens would not write when I opened the package. The ball in the tip would not move. Very poor quality control! Ordered 2 packages and had the same problem with both packages. Recommend you purchase from another brand.

Ive been a huge fan/user of the Staedtler Stick 430 for Years. I finally decided to see how these go, They seem to be a solid upgrade to the 430's. They take what the 430's do so well and accentuate it by making the ink disperse smoother leading to an easier time shading and doing technical linework. The lineweight is dynamic which gives your hand a higher "skill ceiling" of control compared to the 430 which you sometimes have to brute force for certain techniques. On top of that you can get actual colours, and they blend well together. Which was not available with the 430's. I might have found my new go-to pen if they keep performing like this. Cheap too. I believe these would work in an office setting too. They are truly smooth and buttery.

Era da tempo che le cercavo. Sono contenta di averle trovato su amazon. Che dire? Perfette. Penne a sfera di ottima qualità i cui colori corrispondono perfettamente a quelli del fusto esterno. Il tratto è buono, così come l'impugnatura (triangolare ). Nonostante sia la cosa meno importante devo ammettere che anche dal punto di vista estetico sono molto belle da vedere. La consegna è stata puntuale se non di più (acquistate dal rivenditore "E.A. commerce s.r.l.") , dovevano giungere dal 7 al 9 aprile ma sono arrivate addirittura il 6 . Consegna con corriere. Imballaggio fatto con cura maniacale che garantisce una totale protezione alle penne.

From the POV of a sketch lover my Only complain is that there's No Yellow colour pen in it... ADD YELLOW pen in it .... 4 star for that only! Apart from that, pens bleed a little so just make sure to wipe the nib before shading for flawless effect ! Otherwise it's amazing .. inflow is good too ... I baught it for sketching purpose .. Overall , it's an amazing kit for pen sketching ... Colours mixes well !

I bought then thinking the tip was 0.45 mm. However they are 1 mm. That is wrong in the description. They are okay. Not the best but not bad either.

These are very good pens - so good that I now have a set in all my offices to help me sketch ideas to colleagues. They've never dried on me, the line is good, and the colours are very clear. What's more, Staedtler does a matching set of felt-tips, and the colours in the two sets match perfectly. The bodies are plastic, but they're comfortable in the hand, there's no scratchy moulding marks, and I've never had one crack or break. Incidentally, the pens are triangular, so they don't roll off the table even without the lids. Perfect.
