I got this for my Neptune 3 Plus that had suffered a partial clog that I just couldn't seem to fix. I had spent 2 hours taking it apart trying to troubleshoot until I gave up and decided to look for a replacement. After seeing how affordable this was, I don't know why I struggled so long. This is a bargain and another reason I'm glad I went with Elegoo! Installation took just a couple of minutes and after that, everything worked like it did on Day 1. My print quality was back to normal with no issues and I had my printer back after avoiding using it for nearly a year! If you're having print problems or really bad clogs, I would strongly recommend picking up a new extruder for a fresh start.

Prior to installation, the printer consistently failed during the homing process—particularly when attempting to return to the home position after movements or prior to auto-leveling. The issue persisted despite verifying sensor functionality, cleaning components, and checking connections, suggesting a deeper mechanical or detection problem within the original extruder assembly. Upon replacing the entire extruder unit with this official ELEGOO part, the homing behavior returned to normal immediately. The print head now reliably completes the full homing sequence (X, Y, and Z axes), positions correctly, and proceeds with auto-leveling without interruption.

I was troubleshooting my N3Pro for over 2 weeks, the leveling is just off, and the print head keep crashing into the bed, no matter what I did to realign and adjust left and right, it seems like the proximity sensor is broken as it move toward the left side. My last ditch effort to resolve the issue was replacing the whole assembly and hope for the best. And it worked. This assembly came with the sensor which alone is $25 to $30 everywhere you look and it is shipped from China which takes about 3 to 4 weeks. When I got this in the mail after 4 days, swapping this with the old one took less than 15 mins. The result, I was able to level the bed perfectly, and it print faster than my other N3Pro by 25% on a 25hr print job.

A easy replacement for my bad hot end. It works great after you go through the leveling for the new hot end.

Easy to install. I installed it in 10 minutes. It fits exactly as the original factory parts do. As for the comments about the holes not lining up, you need to start all 5 mounting screws, 3 long ones in the back, then the 2 infront, and then go back and tighten them all up. The part works just fine. Same print quality as my first print when I bought the printer. I reprinted the test Budda from elegoo and compared them.

First let me say that customer service was fantastic, was a little lengthy with communication and pictures but they went above and beyond to resolve any issues. It prints great when it worked hence 4 stars. Print quality was great, it was quiet and it fit perfectly in the printer.
