Mares Fin Strap with ABS Plus Buckle Assembly - Blue, X-Large

Received the straps well packaged. I have Dacor Tiger pivot fins and these straps are perfect replacements. The buckle fits perfectly. As a unit they are quick to install and will surely save a missed dive should one of my straps break while on the boat.

I replaced my 34 year old straps on my Mares fins with these. I was afraid they wouldn't fit but they were perfect! I loved my fins and was happy that I didn't have to buy a new pair after 34 years! Great quality!

First right off the bat, the way this listing is posted is very deceiving. It lists it as a "SET" and says in the description "PAIR" when I got mine I was surprised to find only one strap in the box. In the QA area there are a couple of yes and no's as to there being one or two straps and the yes was from a seller so I went with that one figuring they sell the stuff, they should know. I needed one for a trip right away so I didn't have time to wait for a email back to order them so I didn't ask them directly. I figured if they came in a pair I could save the other just in case for my backup kit for dives. After contacting the seller after I got back home they stated that they were working with the manufacturer to get the listing changed but it was correct to only receive one. Now to the device itself, it works very well and snaps on easily. The strap is slightly different than my old ones, they had a slide switch in the middle of the buckle to lock them in place, these have a top and button tab to push. I actually like these ones better, the slide could be a pain here and there if any sand got into the mechanism. Overall though the strap itself is a great replacement and works just fine. Only issue is thinking I was getting a pair and I didn't. Online I could have went directly to a few websites for dive supplies and gotten them for $8 or more cheaper and here and there free shipping so I could have gotten 2 pair through someone else for a couple bucks more. Hence marking this down a star.

Took a chance and purchased this item as a replacement for the straps and buckles for my Dacor TurboFlex SP fins (17+ years old). Based on comments, Mares purchase of Dacor did not materially change the connections. Received the product and it worked perfectly. The new buckles are vastly superior to the original Dacor buckles. Bravo

These are the best straps I have ever used out of at least ten different fins. I only use these out of all my others.

looked different , but does the same job. the fins we had are older so it must be a new design but they fit and function the same.

Fit perfectly = easy change-out! Did the trick and I'm ready to go.

Vu que le descriptif n’était pas clair, j’ai alors posé la question sur la page d’achat de l’article, savoir si c’était vendu à l’unité ou par paire. La réponse à était par paire Mais non, j’ai reçu seulement pour changer seulement les attache et la sangle d’UNE SEULE palmes, et non les 2 comme il m’a était répondu….. Je possèdes les attaches ABS Mares, ne trouvant pas ces dernieres, je me suis rabattu sur les ABS+ ( cette article) pensant changer le kit de sangle pour mes 2 palmes. Mais non, et maintenant avec ces mauvaises informations , j’ai des ABS sur une palme et des ABS+ sur l’autre palme. Je n’ai pas pu faire le retour par manque de temps, car je plongerai le jour suivant de la réception du colis. A revoir le descriptif et la réponse du vendeur qui est très trompeur Sinon, l’attache fait bien son travail, pas évident à manipuler les 2 « bouton » avec les gants afin de retirer la palme

Ich verwende schon sehr lange Mares Geräteflossen. Bei meinem letzten Urlaub ist eine ABS Schnalle kaputt gegangen. Also bestellte ich ein neues komplettes Band mit Schnallen. Leider war eine Schnalle schon bei der Lieferung defekt. Diese wurde aber nach meiner Reklamation sehr schnell und unkompliziert vom Verkäufer ersetzt. Leider sind die neuen ABS Schnallen qualitativ nicht mehr so hochwertig wie noch vor ein paar Jahren. Dafür kann der Verkäufer aber nichts. Bei meinen alten ABS Schnallen waren noch richtige Metallfedern verbaut. bei den von mir gekauften, ein originales intalienisches Produkt, ist ALLES nur noch aus Plastik.
