Picatinny Side Saddle Ammo Holder

Very well made, solid with a good quality finish. It came with Allen tool and an extra screw. Fitted tightly on the rail to provide easy access to extra shells, which are held in place perfectly. Looks great and works well. All of the Monstrum items that I have ordered - lots of different rails, have been excellent quality and perform well.

I purchased this for my Marlin 1895 SBL. While it does fit on the rifle, the 45-70 cartridges would be extremely tight, so tight in fact it would almost be impossible to remove one. I reamed the holders out with a large drill bit and cut the plastic in between each loop as to allow a little more flexibility in the plastic. Now the cartridges fit great. I did try 243 and 30-30, which fit fine before I modified it, but if you want this for a larger cartridge, be prepared to modify it. Otherwise, this shell carrier seems to be of great quality.

The way this mounts to a sight rail makes it easy to mount, but after using it for a couple of weeks, I found that it adds too much weight and bulk for me. I want something that will hold the extra shells closer to or against the receiver; it's a personal preference. This is a well-made shell carrier, mounts easily and solidly, and holds the shells securely.

Works as advertised, fits on my mount with room for red dot, is out of the way, plus.....it looks cool!

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of this and how well it sticks to the rail.

Solid build and worth the $. May get in the way of some sights.
