It’s not metal, and honestly doesn’t seem overly sturdy but it seems strong enough. I’ve had it on my rear plate for several months and there’s no damage of any kind, so it’s worth it. Also, it only came with one and I will order another one for the front plate, when I remember.

My husband has this on his truck and it looks really good. It was easy to put on. It seems like it’s high quality and we haven’t had any issues with it!
