The first four films in the series charting a battle for supremacy between vampires and werewolves. 'Underworld' (2003) stars Kate Beckinsdale as Selene, one of the sophisticated group of vampires known as Death Dealers who attempt to keep the feral Lycans (werewolves) in check. When Selene discovers a Lycan plot to kill one of the rare humans to have witnessed a vampire and werewolf battle, young doctor Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman), she sets out to protect him and finds herself increasingly drawn to the doctor and the plot that surrounds him. In 'Underworld 2 - Evolution' (2006) Beckinsdale reprises her role as Selene. With Michael (Speedman) now half-werewolf and the vampire elder, Markus (Tony Curran), planning to awaken a long-lost brother who is a Lycan, Selene and Michael face a race against time to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines and prevent a potentially deadly war between the Lycans and Death Dealers. The events of 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans' (2009) take place centuries before those of the original film and tell of the origins of the feud between the vampires and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, charismatic young Lycan Lucian (Michael Sheen) rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and quest for Lycan freedom. 'Underworld: Awakening' returns to the present day and the issues faced by vampire warrior Selene (Beckinsdale). When humans discover the existence of the Vampire and Lycan clans, Selene must escape imprisonment and lead the battle to protect both species from the threat of extermination by the forces of humanity. It may well prove her toughest challenge yet. Review: Great dvd set - Very good, just what I wanted as a fan of Underworld. Review: Excellent - Good to have all the episodes. Easier to follow the plot when you watch them in the correct order.

Excellent!
Excellent box set brought as a gift for my boyfriends birthday only downside is the packaging was damaged and a few of the DVD cases where cracked(like someone had tap danced on them) we watch the first one last night blue ray makes all the difference! Very underrated films! Would have been 5* if not for the packaging ! Plus amazing price!

Very good fantasy, beautifully dark and atmospheric
Great action/fantasy films and great value for money getting 4 films at this price. I would recommend to anyone looking to get into a new fantasy franchise and if you are expecting vampires anything like Twilight then look elsewhere because this film has a lot of fighting and gore and is a great deal darker in colour and emotion than recent vampire films. The 4 films follow different stories and do a good job of not getting boring or too repetitive like many film franchises tend to do. I would liken their genre to the Resident Evil films although, in my opinion, these films are slightly better made at least as far as story goes.

Turn your brain off fun, can't go wrong
Only watched two so far but both have been great experiences. I usually get lost when trying to understand supernatural plotlines and dislike anything where I have to watch it twice before I master what's going on, but these have depth without complexity. Dark but not too dark, Bill Nighy is hilarious (unintentionally I feel, this is like him recreating his Love Actually role but with fangs, I did struggle to feel threatened by him but that just made it more fun) And Michael Sheen 18 years ago, yes please! Had no idea he used to look like that....... Really looking forward to watching the next installment. It might go downhill from here but if it does I have had my money's worth from the first two.

El artículo llegó en el tiempo esperado. Las películas son buenas. Si es que se puede considerar inconveniente, los menús de alguna de ells están en inglés. Pero la película en sí está en español, así que no tiene ninguna importancia.

Meine Reviews von DVD/Blu-Rays fokusieren sich auf die Extras/Features und Präsentation der Disk, dieser Fokus wird auch durch meine Stern-Bewertung repräsentiert. Zu der Qualität des Films/Serie und technischen Details werde ich nur wenige Worte verlieren. Review für: Undeworld 1-4 - Steelbok [Blu-ray] Menü: Über alle Filme hinweg sehr ähnlich - Hintergrund mit Filmausschnitten, gut lesbare Menüpunkte mit funktioneller Navigation. Teilweise zu grobe Menü-Klick Sounds. Extras: 1 - Keine Extras, nur der Film, sehr schwach. Ab Film 2 - Making Of mit mehreren Kapiteln, sehr viel BTS Material und spannende Einblicke. In Englisch mit deutschen Untertiteln. Top! Auch kommt jeder Film mit einem Musikvideo. Audiokommentare sind enthalten. 2 - Das Making Of des 2. Films ist am interessantesten und wirft auch einen Blick auf den ersten Film zurück. 3 - Lycaner Weltweit, interaktive Weltkarte mit Trivia zu Werwolf-Geschichten. Sehr cool. 4 - Prävisusalisierungssequenzen - das sind Probe-Szenen der CGI/3D Render Abteilung und Outtakes Film/Audio: Ich bewerte Film-Serien lieber als ganzes und muss daher sagen die Underworld-Serie ist ein Klassiker und Top Unterhaltung. Der erste Film sticht klar mit besserer Struktur und Erzählung herraus, wobei der letzte ziemlich schwach rauskommt - inklusive dem schlechtesten Bosskampf aller Zeiten. Alle Filme sind in mindestens Deutsch und Englisch mit Deutschen Untertiteln enthalten, wobei der letzte Film nochmal mehr Sprachoptionen bietet und in 3D vorliegt. Verpackung: Steelbook mit mittelfach für die mittleren Filme, solide Konruktion.
