Finishing touch to a cat fkap
Easy installation, was the permit fit for my cat flap and makes the finish of my cat flap look swanky and very professional. A bit pricey but does a really good job of keeping the draft out.

Ok....ish.....
Likes: didn't take long to install or set the chips on both my cats. Easy. Dislike: sometimes a cats chip travels away from its original injection spot in the neck so it doesn't always allow one of my cats to get in as the recognition strip is right up close to the door. The door allows a huge draft in as the bristles do not touch the outer flap-see pics. Only once has the cat flap gotten stuck open-again see pics. The locking mechanism is very noisy I can hear it upstairs! The round additional add on you can buy isn't actually needed unless you have a class or metal door. I got it as it said it helped with drafts but to be honest with the gab around the cat flap there is no saving this product from a hefty breeze around the house!!!!! Maybe refreshing in the summer but in winter I will need to find a way to modify this to get rid of the draft. No unwanted visitors yet which is what I got this item for so hopefully despite its downfalls I won't be replacing it any time soon. But considering its faults I do feel this is on the pricy side and could come down £15 until they work out the kinks. I wouldn't buy this product again I would have sent it back and got a better quality one but I was in a jam with a Tom coming in and spraying and couldn't wait anymore.

Reliable but a crafty cat can tamper its way out
Relatively reliable product once it’s programmed and far better than a previous mains-powered cat flap that was forever resetting and preventing access. Installations as pretty decent and batteries last as well as can be expected. Although if you have a cat that likes to dither whilst coming through it can rapidly reduce battery life. I always change them before we go away for a weekend etc. just in case. The bigger problem however is that the flap can be fooled by a crafty cat. One of our girls figured out very quickly that if she taps the bottom of the opening repeatedly, the flap will bounce against the draught excluding cushion material enough so that she can hook a paw under it on the rebound and head straight out despite it being on entry mode only.

DRAUGHT FREE
No more wind or rain coming in like the manual cat flap. This is so good, now I do not have a cold draught coming in to make the rest of the house cold. MY cats got used to this method of going out and coming back in really well (especially the 19 year old.. bless him}.. he used to struggle going out of the old one, now he just glides through with ease.... plus the big black cat who does not live here, cannot get in and steal my cats food !! Would recommend.

Plasters, patience and god on your side is required!
After being scrammed to pieces to get the cat's chip registered with the pet flap, I had the pleasure of doing it another 2 times due to having 3 cats. 1. This is NOT an easy task. WARNING: unless your cat has no claws (and teeth!) This IS going to cause you more pain, stress and trauma than the cat! One of my cats is 18, I thought she was going to have z heart attack she stressed out so much. So after this was done, and my hands, chest and arms were bandaged up, the cats had "forgotten" what the bloody cat flap was for..... 2. You need A LOT of patience to show the cat(s) how to use the cat flap. My cats all used them in my previous house, but they all?? seemed to suffer from memory loss. Yes, it had to be raining when this task was done ☹ So after gently "assisting" the easiest cat through (so I thought) he sort of fell out with a plop the other side, which did make me feel slightly better after my skin being shredded. However, coming back in was a whole new story. 3. My cats enter the flap PAWS FIRST. They sed to nudge the flap open with the paw, the dive through. However the flap wont allow them to do that as it has to read the chip. Eventually the cat got annoyed - he was drenched from sitting dow, just looking at the flap. Working out a plan to get in maybe?) He decided my more to less force his way in head first. Hurrah, I thought, he's got it. NO...... My clever boy had worked out how to use the flap, but his chip isnt in his neck, its moved further down.... He head butted the flap (3 times) and still couldn't get in. I sat in horror. I had spent £60+ on the cat flap and adaptor and £180 for it all to be fitted in a double glazed patio door (I had to buy a new panel of double glazing for the cat flap to be installed). I pressed down the grey "security" buttons which stopped the cat flap from opening unless the microchip was detected, and called the cat in. Whilst waiting for him to regain partial consciousness, my other cat loving came up to me looked at the flap and delicately jumped through. Why didn't I choose her instead?? So now I have 2 cats outside. One soaking wet and one just realising it was raining and sitting there for me to open the door. I decided to see what happened with this cat. She entered the cat flap head first, and was in! Result! Yay! I picked her up hugged her and her claw swiped me again. Joy... 😑😑 So, the end result is I paid £240+ for a crap cat flap unit that sometimes works, depending on which cat goes through. I have sellotaped the grey buttons down - taking all microchip security away (I could have bought a normal cat flap for £15!) so my boy cat can use it. The older cat is still too traumatized to even venture through it! Litter tray is still required. 😪☹💩 NOTE: 1. Please make sure your cat's chip is near the head. 2. Please make sure you have plasters and tissues on hand 3. Even better... oven gloves! 4. Have patience... good luck! 5. A towel to dry the cat if they are out there (for days?) trying to work out how to get back in I personally don't think it's worth the money. Do I recommend it? NO!!

Needed for double glazed glass door
Definitely needed to fit the cat flap and a little fiddly to set up but we were new to this and it did get aligned after a little grumbling.

Great Door! Installed in the side of the house into the garage when we adopted a neighbor’s outdoor cat. We keep it on manual mode allowing entry into and out of the garage. So far, So Good. The cat hadnt used a door before so we taped it open for a few days, enticed him into the garage with treats and and let him use the door that way for several days before closing the door. The cat figured out how to push it open by himself. :)

We still have not installed this door because the locking/unlocking mechanism is too sluggish and unresponsive for my cats to reliably move through it. We bought it to solve the problem of our cats’ constant urge to go outside and come back in while preventing raccoons from coming indoors. The locking mechanism was extremely hard to learn even with the written instructions, and i had to call customer service to finally get it to work. Also, despite the fact that my cats were microchipped, it did not reliably “recognize” them and unlock quickly enough. When i bought the rfid tags to use on my cats’ collars, those too were not easily snd promptly “recognized” by the locking/unlocking mechanism, making my cats extremely averse to even using the door. We were also concerned about how much cold it would allow through our door in the winter, so my husband declined even mounting the door. So basically i spent around $120 for the door snd the rfid tags and it took so long to try to get it to work i missed the return window on Amazon. So it is sitting, unused, in a box in our garage. It was disappointing to have spent so much time and energy researching a decent cat door only to have it not work as expected. 😩
