Price considered, 5 stars. Net savings ~$200(?) vs hiring a tree trimming service...
Purchased specifically for two wind damaged branches overhanging my driveway. Both branches dead but still hanging on, swaying back and forth when breezy, a risk to anything underneath. Both were about 18-19 feet high. One was about 4" thick, the other about 1.5"-2.0". The 4" branch took about 3-4 minutes of continuous sawing to take down. I stopped a few times given that the muscles needed to do this aren't what they used to be, somewhat tiring if you're not used to it. The other branch was more difficult to take down given that where I needed to saw was about midway down the branch and not secured. Difficult to saw due to the branch moving back and forth during sawing. I finally got to a point where the pruner attachment would work, used it to finish the job. Having a commercial business roll a truck to my house would have been $100-$200 - at least. On that basis alone, purchasing this pole trimmer resulted in some savings and may provide more should I need it again. What this isn't is a commercial level tool. Commercial tools are often sturdier, won't flex as much when in use and a bit faster and easier to use for these reasons. The blades are often higher quality name brand parts that can result in faster cuts. Commercial level tools are also significantly more expensive. For occasional residential use, this one is probably going to be good enough for most. It came with a decent quality storage bag, the sections screwed together easily and precisely, firmly locked in place with spring loaded plungers. Two extra blades, three total - one of the same style that is preinstalled at the factory and another smaller blade that's probably better at getting into tighter spaces. It also comes with a pruner attachment. I'd highly recommend taking a picture of the pruner's pulley system immediately after unpacking. When the cord inevitably breaks and possibly comes out of the pulley system, you'll know how to route replacement cord. The pulley system is definitely value added, allows for more power when making cuts. I didn't use the provided grip handle. Instead and with mechanics gloves on, I did two wraps around my hand, pulled from there. Safety suggestions: always wear safety glasses when using this. Saw dust and other light debris will rain on you when using this. And NEVER take your eyes off the branch before moving well out of where it will likely fall. Where it falls can be unpredictable. In my case, I estimated that it would fall directly downward but it took a small swing on the way down and landed about 6ft from where I though it would. It happened fast too. Happy customer, recommended for light duty residential use.

Great value! This saw works well!
Nice saw! This is a great value for how much it does. I was able to trim branches very high and both the saw blade and the lopper work really well. The lopper is not super sturdy so don't expect it to work on really thick or dry branches, but that's what the saw blade is for anyway. If you put all the extensions together it is honestly quite heavy and floppy but I think that's a problem you'd get with any saw of this length. One thing worth mentioning but not worth knocking a star off was the poles have fiberglass residue on them out of the package and on bare skin it itched. Once I realized this I wiped them all down with a damp cloth and the problem went away. I literally saved hundreds of dollars using this on 4 trees in my yard rather than paying someone to do it.

Reliable tool, requires endurance
I’ve been using this pole saw for about a month now and it has become one of my most used tools for yard work. I have several tall trees that have always been a hassle to deal with and generally out of reach. This saw allows me to reach the branches without using a ladder or getting help from a family member, which is a big plus. I believe it is advertised at a reach of 27 feet, which is more than enough. The poles feel solid and the locking mechanism works better than other cheaper models I’ve tried. The blade is pretty sharp and will get the job done. There are a few cons as well. Because of the length and constant balancing you’ll definitely start to feel sore after using it for a while. It also requires constant cleaning as pieces of wood get caught onto the blade section. The added bag is nice but could use a sturdier build based on the weight it needs to carry. Overall, this is a good value for home owners with tall trees who don’t mind the extra workout needed to operate this device. I would recommend.

Excellent pole saw!
I have a pin oak that is very large and one main trunk had a bunch of smaller branches that were beginning to hang over my deck and the rear roof of my home. I got several quotes from tree services that just seemed ridiculous to me to pay for. I looked at home Depot tool rental prices for tow behind boom lifts and those prices were out of sight to me as well. Then I did some shopping around on Amazon and came across many different Pole pruners of greater lengths. I already own a 12 to 16 foot pruner but needed something with more legnth that would work with cutting from the ground or from an extension ladder. This product came in a heavy gauge burlap case kind of like a really good strong duffle bag material. The poles attached easily and effortlessly together and are very well made of what I believe is a strong fiberglass material with plastic connectors. I glanced over the instructions but it is pretty much a no-brainer on how they go together. I have only used one of the extremely Sharp saw blades so far but they are sturdy and cut like a hot butter knife through butter. After about 10 cuts I laid the pole on the ground and went and checked all of the connections but none had come loose for me. I am 55 years old 6 ft tall about 220 lb and lift weights every day and wants you have maybe six or seven sections of this pole saw together it is a mighty to wield and takes a lot of strength. I easily cut through many different size and with branches. One trunk was probably about 25 ft from main trunk to end and maybe half of it towards the end was dead. I estimate it was about 10 inches in diameter but the saw blade went right through it. Needless to say I am very very pleased with this tool and I have a gigantic pile of brush in my yard ready to be cut up with my chainsaw and put out for the county to come collect. I have to say for $800 in about two and a half hours of my after work time I feel like I made a very smart purchase and saved anywhere from $500 to $1,000 not using a tree service. Keep in mind the prices that I was quoted from the tree services I told them to knock the price down by leaving the debris behind for me and also the price was for a cash deal. I don't think you can go wrong buying this tool as you can add or subtract poles to fit the application that you need it for. I have yet to use the rope pruning head attachment but I am positive that it won't work as equally flawless. You should wear at least a sunglasses and a hard hat because when these branches fall sometimes they spring back at you and yes I was hit in my arms and actually in my face several times lol but that doesn't stop me. I hope this review helps and maybe wants the job is 100% complete I will post some more pictures.

VEVOR manual pole saw - #1
VEVOR Manual Pole Saw, 3.87-27 ft Extendable Pole Tree Pruner is worth the money spent. I'm 85 years old, so I can't use it at full length, but my strong grandson can! The little saw that comes with the scissor cutter is a little too pliable for me. It can flop, if you're not careful But both blades that comes with the system to use on the other end attachment are great saw blades. I used it myselfr with the short extension and 3 of the long extensions, to reach about 12 feet high, and it sawed through a couple of two inch dia. dead limbs with ease. I am just not strong enough at my age to lift the entire length with all of the extensions on it. The threaded ends work perfectly. Just take your time, and wear clean leather gloves to grip the ends and screw them together tightly, and they won't get wobbly. If there is any wobble, you can feel it, and that means you have a loose joint somewhere. Tighten it, and the tool works perfectly - without any wobble. The bag it all fits in easily is well made. The zipper works easily, and looks like it will last as long as the bag. I am really satisfied with my purchase, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do it their way, without gas or battery. Five Star Tool!

Works great
This is easy to assemble and use. Just be very careful, slow and patient. Step back and look at what you're doing before cutting.Snip small pieces first. The branches will pop up and you may not need to cut again. Have someone helping you and wear plastic glasses. Very sharp and cuts quicklyonce you get used to doingit.. When the pole is long it's hard to move alone steady. I'm female, 5/6 150 pounds 65 years old cutting on large sweet bay. If pole is long try leaning against a ladder to steady pole for hard to reach branches. Do not stand on the ladder, lean the pole against it like another arm.

A game changer!
Nice and light no heavy pole chain saws that can even get close to that reach. Still expect a work out like going to a gym. Hate climbing up 16 feet into a tree and holding a chain saw with two hands. Just not enough hands to be safe up there even if you strap yourself down including the ladder. Life is too short to reduce your life span . Sometimes we don’t want to cut the whole tree down which can be the easiest at the base. A Tree close to a house needs extra safety rules. The pole saw worked well but still one must calculate how to cut the angle of the branches or tree trunk. Please see video and Don’t listen to what I say, this is just my limited experience. Every tree cutting experience varies. The ease of adjustment of the pole is ingenious. Good design. Just keep the pole as short as you can and wear a helmet if working directly under the tree. The job can be intimidating at time’s so take your time and don’t take any risks. Calculate the wind or best wait when there is no heavy wind. You learn as you go along for your particular job. I was working alone but a second trustworthy helper might add more security. The saw blade cuts nicely and stays put. The Clippers work nice too but do not recommend to go over 5/8” inches of clipping. Stick below 1/2 inch with the clippers. Alright, please make this endeavor a rewarding one. One more thing. On the video you should run with the rope away from the house as you break the tree trunk off way before it hits the ground . Don’t wrap the rope around your arm or fingers. We want no broken bones. 👍 Good 😊 going . All the best!

Nice tool. Good value
My initial impression of the product is good. I’m using outside my balcony at the full 27 feet. I am only using the pruner and am going almost completely horizontal and using the railing to brace the tool. It flexes quite a bit, but I can adjust for that. Things to note: 1. I added a second knot to the rope attached to the pruner. I was concerned it might pull through. 2. I’m going to buy lock nuts to replace the wing nuts. The wing nuts loosen up too easily. 3. You need to check that all the joints are tight every time you use it. Maybe it would be better if they had a locking feature. I might consider drilling a hole for a bolt to lock each joint, but for now I’m going to live with it. 4. The included hand saw, with a blade replacement is very nice. Don’t need it right now, but it’s good to have. 5. I am not going to attach to saw to the pruning tool. The blade is pretty thin, it will add weight, it probably would make it more difficult to locate the pruning tool, and probably would be difficult to operate at 27 feet Overall I feel it’s an excellent value at $55. The quality exceeds my expectations.
