I am new to mini camera drone flying and was very surprised as how close the props are to the ground / grass having previously flown electric RC helicopters. This style of legs looks just like the skids on a helicopter's. This device easily clips onto the drone battery cover vents (in fact so firmly that you must be careful when you come to remove it to carefully do so else it may try an remove the battery cover as well). I now gently squeeze the landing skids together at their hinge and this eases the clips out from the air vents. I leave mine attached all the time now as they fold up and in fact act to hold the front propellers in place when stored. As for landing I can now do so on mown lawns but still use my landing rubber mat in fields or catch the drone in my hand now I've had a few hours experience flying it. Still keeping it on the drone as just in case it has to "land out" not near me or the mat!

Fits well gives that extra bit of height on rough or grassy surfaces

*Update 06-09-2023* Rating raised to 4 stars following excellent communications by the seller advising a method to safely remove their legs (untried by myself) and advice that they also sell a propeller retaining strap that can be used with their legs. Nothing wrong with the quality but the attachment/removal method will break the drone case. They fit so tight that I had to cut them off to avoid breaking the drone body. You cannot fit the propeller retaining strap with the legs fitted, if you're happy with this then they'll be fine, not for me though.

Yes, putting these on will almost certainly violate the 249g rating but unless you plan on landing or taking off on an ultra smooth surface…you are going to want these. It folds up, fits well and in my opinion is an essential. Stupidly, I forgot to factor in the wind speed and direction during a flight in Iceland With 63% battery remaining, I figured the drone would be able to fly the return journey that barely cost me 10% over open water - 500m or so as the Nazgûl flies. Fighting a monstrous headwind in Speed Mode, (low single digits m/per second) I aimed for the closest land and was able to get my drone just onto the beach before the battery gave out. I watch it pause, and gracefully descend into the sand - landing perfectly propped up. In my head, I was expecting an aviation disaster. Utter relief to see it stood there. I think it likely saved my drone from an uncomfortable impact in damp sand…no one wants that inside their drone or motors.

Small, light (how long it lasts is anyone's guess) If you mount a strobe directly under the drone you will need to move it towards the back as the chassis of the legs covers that area (to allow the space for the sensors) no big deal I just recut some of the Velcro type strips to fit and added them to both batteries so I can swap out when needed and still use the strobe.
