Perfect, for many years
We've had these steps for many years and it has always worked beautifully for our chihuahuas.

Perfect for my Jacahuahua
My tiny rescue dog - a Jack Russell cross Chihuahua - likes to snuggle up when feeling ill. A recent bout of ill health led to her trying to jump onto my bed at night. She got frustrated as she couldn't jump high enough - but wouldn't give up trying. I got frustrated by being continually woken by regular bumps as she tried to jump up but ricocheted off the mattress, and loud thumps as she bounced back and hit the ground. Something had to be done! These mini stairs enabled her to climb easily onto my rather high bed during the night, to curl up by my feet. Peace and rest for both of us! Now that she's recovered, she's back in her own bed, and the stairs are safely stowed. They're a bit bulky even when folded, so I wouldn't want to use them for the car. But on the other hand, they seem strong and stable. The stick on carpet gives a good non slip surface. Each step rise is about four inches, which is perfect for her. They'd probably be fine for a medium sized dog, too - but no good for a large dog (firstly, it would be like a large man trying to sit on a tiny pre-schooler's chair; and secondly, there are four steps; a large dog would only need two for that height). I would recommend them to anyone with a small or medium sized dog.

Perfect for my aging labrador
I bought this for my labrador to help him get in and out of the bath. I was unsure if it would be suitable as the previous buyers all seemed to have small dogs and mine weighs almost 40kg, but the comments from people saying it took their weight made me think it was worth a gamble. I'm so glad I did! The step is excellent. The back clips into place so there's no risk of it collapsing and it's the perfect height to reach the edge of the bath from the outside. Being plastic it's easy to wipe clean. I haven't put the "carpet" pieces on as my dog gets muddy on his winter walks and I'm not missing them. There were little plastic "feet" to stop it slipping but these fell off almost immediately so I just put it on a towel instead. My dog is quite nervous but with some cajoling he went up it first time and he's used it the last 3 days with more and more confidence. I've even got him coming down it which I was very pleased about. It means he doesn't have to jump and put pressure on his arthritic joints any more. The delivery was really quick - I was given an ETA of the Tuesday and it arrived first thing on the Sunday. I got a text message and was able to track the van's progress online so I was ready and waiting for it. All in all an excellent product that I hope will last a long time. Updating to say we've had this for over a month now and it's been a life-saver. My dog is really comfortable going up it (he still needs some reassurance but he'll milk any opportunity!) and it's made getting him into the car and bath so much easier.

So nice now my little dog can safely get up and down to my bed.
Very nice steps that are perfect for my little Lhasa Apso. Lightweight so easy to move when hoovering and sturdily made so pets are safe using it. Recommended!

Great for small pets.
We bought this for a cat who has had leg surgery, and along with her getting on a bit she can no longer jump like she used to. We bought two sets of steps. One sits on carpet, the other on a hard smooth floor. With the carpet, we found no issue with the steps whatsoever, however when using on a smooth floor there can be an issue which I will explain why and how to deal with it. The steps are supplied with little rubber pads that you stick to the bottom of the legs. If you don't use them the steps will just splay apart. You MUST use these pads. Sadly these pads are not very sticky & can easily come off. The easy way I found to stick them on was to first rub off the sticky part off the small rubber pads. Then using a bit of sandpaper, I gave the bottom of the step legs a little rub in order to score it. I then applied a little dab of superglue on each pad & stuck it to the bottom of the leg. I know it is something you should have to do from the get go, but it was a simple fix & the pads are still stuck on strong. Plus I have the peace of mind that the legs won't part when the cat uses them. Also having the top part of the step resting gently against whatever you place next to help it feel more secure.

Does the job and easy to fold.
Does the job and is easy to fold. Not the sturdiest ever product, but not the flimsiest either. Ok for our Jack Russell. It might move more with larger dogs so might be better to look around if you have a large breed. Small to Medium breeds should be ok. Good thing is that it doesn't need assembling, just unfold and off you go. Carpet mats are stuck on in under a minute. Rubber feet come off in minutes! Might as well not bother sticking them on as they just keep coming off. Apart from that, all ok.
