Twin pack, one for washing, one reroofing. Works a treat! The Monatne down jacket is like new!!! Always follow the instructions, especially relating to the washing machine. One tip that is not on the bottle, is to gently squeeze the water out of the garment before spinning, otherwise the jacket will unbalance the drum!!!! And never go through a proper spin cycle. I had to do this two or three times, gently squeezing the jacket out in the drum before it went through a slow speed spin.

I watched a few videos and followed the instructions. Worked well and jacket like new. I was worried at first as the down had clumped quite a lot. I found I had to set out tumble dryer to work for a set time to stop it turning off automatically. Keep tumbling with dryer balls and everything will be great just takes longer than you think!

product is fine and does the job, the smell of the detergent is nothing spectacular and I'm happy to say it doesn't leave a scent after washing. . My issue is the practicality of measuring the product in the supplied cap. It isn't pour-friendly (gets everywhere easy ) and once u measure it in the cap rinse it out before putting it on, obvious I know but for those that don't think before they do (like me) it can leave a mess and it is slippery stuff. For next time I would use a seperate detergent measuring cup that goes straight in the machine.

I’ve used Nikwax products for decades and they just keep getting better and better. As long as you follow the instructions and clean your washing machine draw out first (and ideally run a wash through with the machine empty and no detergent in as well) then you will find that your down gear is rejuvenated. Bear in mind that you’ll need a tumble dryer to bring the down back to life! The bigger the better, and it may be worth a trip to the laundrette to use a big commercial one. Throw in a bunch of tennis balls and you’ll end up with a down jacket or sleeping bag that’s back to top performance. The provider actually works, and adds a little water resistance to your down gear so that you can survive a mild amount of water without your down loosing its lift, but it’s not a miracle worker.. just adds a bit of protection. Worth using though.

Quick, and as described. I have a fair number of technical garments. They don't respond too well to washing with ordinary powders. Kiss your DWR finish goodbye amongst other things. If you own a technical down jacket, you really need to protect that. From experience I have found that the Nikwax products are a solid choice.

Worked really well on my Rab. Got rid of the water marks and has made it waterproof again.

Yes - the products cleaned the jacket - worn but unwashed for 10 winters. But no - did not magically restore loft to like new. It just returned to how it was before cleaning, which was perhaps 85% as lofty as when new. Only the fabric was cleaner, and no longer smelly.
