Tamon's B-Side, Vol. 1

This series is so good. I just love these characters, the idol that is gloomy when not on stage is adorable. But I just have a little problem at the way the MC is just really crazy about the pop idol. Obviously she’s a fan but it takes it a little obsessive sometimes-atleast I don’t think it’s to obsessive that she will say take out anyone in a yandere sort of way. The shrine is a bit much. I do however like that she cheers him on and gives him a pep talk which pushes him forward to be the best idol-his other persona. I wish it wasn’t such a slow burn because I wish the character would realize her feelings for him. In the end I still love this series-makes me laugh a lot and it’s adorable.

For the actual purchase side of things, came quick and in new condition. Tamon’s B-side is super cute! An adorable main character that seems to really want the best for her idol, conflicted with the idea of hogging him to herself. As his housekeeper, she does things to care for him, but she doesn’t want to cross any boundaries. Tamon at home is described as “gloomy”. He’s very self conscious with high standards for himself. This manga is a bit silly, but I really enjoy it! It’s an easy read, great for a pick me up when needed. I can’t help but root for Utage, she’s a likable girl who truly accepts Tamon wholeheartedly. Hopefully we get to see them get together!!

The animes coming out in January so I thought I'd read it. It's so good! The idol is funny and sweet

After watching the first anime episode I had to read the manga it was so good I can’t wait to see where these two go.

As much as I LOVED Takane & Hana, I was a little unsure if I would like this one or not. When I started reading, that was extremely true because while sometimes Gloomyhara DOES say some funny things about himself, it was really hard for me to see him degrade himself. More than once he says that he is not even worthy to be equal with landfill waste and as someone who personally can easily start degrading themselves when they mess up, it was really triggering for me at times. I know it's supposed to make the reader all the more appreciative of Utage and how she affirms that Tamon DOES have value and not just as Tamon, but Gloomyhara too, but I think it was hard for me at times nonetheless. I wouldn't say I "got over that" so I could keep reading, but somewhere along the way seeing how Utage does encourage Tamon really helped me appreciate the story and have fun. Utage is hilarious and love her love for Tamon and how she will NOT put up with him berating himself for X reason. It definitely made me feel all the warm fuzzies when she even tells Gloomyhara that he is important too and not just the idol size of him. I DEFINITELY felt invested in seeing this turn into a romantic story(??) with a specific scene near the end! Like SQUEALS!! I can definitely say it was THAT moment that had me preordering a physical volume because I was like I am invested enough in this series to read physically and not just digitally! LOL! Overall, this was a great first volume! I didn't always appreciate the "church" stuff but I did really like the characters, the humor, and the art. I'm excited to see where it goes and if the romance will be more prevalent in volume two! *(I received an e-ARC from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts expressed are my own.)*

I love this manga series it's super good. I fell in love and now I'm hooked. I'm trying to get as much tamon merch as I can. Let's just say my money is gone but it's for a good cause lol. I would definitely recommend it's really chill and super cute. The characters are so lovable and there personalities are definitely relatable.
