Amazon Basics Pet Dog Cave Bed, Small, Blue

Instant hit. The boy loves it. Gets in not only to have a snooze but to play in comfort with his toys, kick the non disappearing covers (can't do that with an unsecured blanket) and generally gloat that he has this but we won't fit in it... Excellent value for the money, looks comfortable and perfect for a 9kg small/medium dog to sprawl out on or curl up in. Our dog doesn't really chew fabric so it's going to last. I'd imagine if you have a dog with a fabric or stuffing fetish, it wouldn't be more than a five minute wonder. Very happy fella here though who can tuck himself in intuitively when his folks refuse to put the heating on... 😀

This cave bed is thinner in padding but one can easily add more. It is half the price of my other cave bed but good quality materials. My one dissapontment is the zip attaching the cave hood - (my fault for choosing a zipped bed!) as I have pups who chew zips I had hoped the hood would be permanently fixed to the base, so I will have to wait till they are older before putting it in their crate which is what I bought it for,as the zip comes undone easily - a stitch would hold it shut but not prevent chewing. I will now look for a cheap cave bed with a fixed hood! For an adult dog this would be a grand bed & my older dog loves it & a good buy.

Very pleased with this bed. I was worried about the padding and how it would be after reading some of the reviews but this bed is well-padded, soft and comfortable and, most importantly, our little dachshund loves it. He found it comfortable to sleep in and wanted to stay in the bed instead of wandering out of it at night because the bed has been too uncomfortable and short of decent padding. We have had problems with other hooded and covered dog beds with inadequate bases in the past and perhaps we have been very lucky with this one, but it is brilliant. My only concern is how to keep it clean because it does not say it can be washed! I think this is nevertheless good value and I am glad we bought it so far. Hope the padding will remain as good as this over time. We only have a small and light dog.

I bought the medium which is huge for my chihuahua she is only 18 weeks old so it will last her. She loves to burrow and sleeps so much better when she does so I searched for cave beds, this one had good reviews so I gave it a shot and glad I did! There is a wire in the hood which allows it to stay slightly up, I wanted one that wasn’t held open permanently so she can use her nose to get right under and feel safe and warm, whilst also having the option of sleeping on the none covered but when she gets hot. Really well made and the base is well padded!

Very average product. The padding is flimsy and compresses too much unlike other dog beds we’ve had. Although there is a plastic strip in the top part it isn’t very sturdy and doesn’t keep its shape. It’s a good size for our Frenchie but nothing to write home about.

I can't say I have personal experience of this bed (not actually been able to get near it as the dog monopolises it) BUT the dog is irresistibly drawn to it and once in, is there for the duration without moving. It looks so darn comfortable I wish they did a human version! Large size has plenty of space for my whippet and he'll even choose this over the sofa. Great value for money and looks as if it will be easy to wash the covers as there are zips aplenty.

The zip broke on the hood part within a few days. Don’t bother wasting your money. Looks comfortable for them tho. Don’t know about cleaning not even had it a week. 🙄

This bed was great value. Our dachshund loves a cave bed and we got him this as a second one to have in the house and he immediately curled up and went to sleep on it. Like that you can remove the cave bit, to wash it, and has a nice amount of filling to make it comfy for him. Has a horrible Amazon basics label on the front but I unpicked it and now it looks great.

Mi perro está encantado, cuando llegó pensé..demasiado grande para él (cogí L, tengo un Pinscher de 10kg), pero le viene perfecta. Se estira sin problema. Es suave, calentita y sobre todo súper cómoda tiene un buen acolchado. Esta súper encantado, al ser como una concha parece que se siente mas protegido. Una fabulosa compra.

J'ai acheté ce coussin pour que ma chienne ne dorment 😴 plus sur le lit!! Et bien elle l'a adopté immédiatement. Cela lui fait un petit nid où elle doit se sentir en sécurité. Même s' il est noté que le tissu ne doit pas être laver en machine, je le lave en cycle en bercelaine. Il n'a pas bougé et il sèche rapidement. Le seul reproche que je puisse faire est que le coussin n'est pas très epais mais j'en ai rajouté un autre à l'intérieur. Bon achat.

Order placed during winter period (Jun 2024) in Melbourne. It has been 1.5 years of daily use, and I really love it as doggie can lay down and stretch out his legs fully. Now as it shown in attached photos, bed has been worn out due to doggie's "digging burrow" habit before settling down to rest. Maybe I should have ordered a small instead of medium for my Bichon Frise breed as it seems too oversized for him. I wished doggie would utilize the hood to hide inside during winter as his blanket... but sadly he never did probably due to his timid personality. Also worth to mention is that the hood can remove entirely by unzipping along the edges. The cover for the bed can be removed and put into washing machine for washing. Unfortunately, it is not recommended to machine wash the hood as there's an internal metal rod along the edge of the hood top to support the hood structure. Because of the metal rod, I did not machine wash it at all. It stays relative clean though. Sadly, I really need to replace this bed as even the internal cushion has holes on it. Not fault of the product in my opinion, but doggie nails are digging daily into it. Overall, I give this a 5 star as I know doggie enjoys his slumber on this bed.

Mittlerweile haben wir drei dieser Bettchen weil alle gern darin liegen. Ideal zum einkuscheln.Passen jeweils immer zwei rein. Als Bettchen mit "Zudecke" für Kuschler perfekt. Waschen ist easy und problemlos.Die Füllung hätte gern für uns etwas dicker sein können. Kann man ja aber selbst nach füllen bzw später tauschen.Wir schütteln regelmäßig auf. Schade das es keine Ersatz-Bezüge gibt. Der Reißverschluss ist grad für Welpen sehr interessant und ist entsprechend oft im Maul.Hält aber durch. Tolles Bett für den Preis
