Un engaño Review: I've always used a Weber kettle grill and for starting it used a charcoal chimney with paper towels and cooking oil. That system has always worked for the kettle grill, but I received a Green Egg for Christmas this year and the chimney didn't seem like it would be a good option for the Egg. These were recommended by someone I know who has an Egg and I looked into them. I was skeptical at first - they don't seem like much, but so far so good. I use 2 to light my medium Egg and they get it going quicker than I expected. I'm often ready to start controlling temp in 10-12 minutes. That's for lower temps - 225 to 300 degrees. I still have my kettle grill and use it for cooks larger than the Egg can handle by itself. I've starting using these to light the charcoal chimney - no more mess with the oil and paper towels. So even if you don't have a BGE, these might be worth a look to you.
