Good all rounder
Used this backpack every day on recent trip to Southeast Asia and it proved invaluable. Held a fair amount as my carry-on for flights, including camera, iPad, cables and batteries, toiletries, small towel; could have stuffed in more if necessary. Attached neck cushion with carabiner and was good to go. Various compartments kept smaller items handy without having to rummage around. On coach journeys and day trips kept it light with just a few essentials, and even in the heat (intense at times) it was very comfortable and did not cause a sweaty back, through a linen shirt at least. It also looked neat on my small (5ft 2) frame and more stylish than my previous ‘built for the hills’ packs. Always used the anti-theft clips when out at nights, where I needed backpack as a shopper to hold souvenirs. Once, on a crowded street, felt a slight jostling on my back and turned round to see a guy up close with a scarf around his hand. With easier access he might have gotten away with something, who knows. Now back home will get more good use of my backpack on long walks and days out with grandsons. Very happy so far.

Great bag not so great customs charges
Love this backpack. Nice to have the locking zips and all the other security features. Comfortable. Only thing is I had to pay customs charges which was unexpected. Red Pebble Products have said they will reimburse this to me. I have sent them proof but they have not reimbursed me.

Great backpack.
I gave this five star backpack four stars because they are a bit pricey. I chose this because of it's security features. My sons mother-in-law was robed on the Rome underground which I understand is quite common, so I did not want this to happen to me and I have also had an attempted robbery in Tunisia. The locking zips and slash proof feature as far as I can tell are unique so should go some way to protecting your important documents and property. The bag appears to be well made and is a practical size for me.

Best ever
I’m A big fan of travelon and have never been disappointed. This bag is the best yet ! The side zip is particularly good as you can lock it with their zip clips . I love this bag as it fits everything I need for work plus an umbrella and loads more ! What I really love is the smoothness of the zip . You actually don’t need two hands to get the zip round the corners of the top flap. It’s smooth and runs all the way around without having to use your other hand !

This backpack holds a lot, including iPad, phone, passport, wallet, small hair brush and a water bottle in the side pocket of which there are two, one on each side. The straps don't slide off, which has been a problem with other backpacks I have tried. It has safety features for securing the zippers on the top. I ordered it in blue and I used it on transatlantic flights. It fits nicely under the seat in front.

My favorite travel bag. Compact but big enough to carry tons on stuff during travels. Multiple pockets make it convenient to find your things quickly. The safety hooks really make it hard to unzip. Reassuring when walking in cities or crowds. Absolutely love it! I have been using it for almost a year and have tested it on 10 trips.

Pros: After putting several relatively heavy items (full metal water bottle, etc.), I found the that straps did not hurt my shoulders. I used this bag daily for 12 consecutive days when I travelled to Europe. The bag maintained it's quality. Zippers worked and had the option of being clipped to a hook which is attached to bag for added security. I was pleasantly surprised to find a mini light attached to the clip for the key. Cons: I would prefer to have the pockets for ID, etc. and the clip for a key? inside the main compartment instead of the outer pouch. Overall, it is a good, sturdy bag and I'm pleased with my purchase.

I was so excited to see this bag when it arrived and on inspection, it looked ok sturdy and well made. However, when I tried to put it on, I couldn't get my arms through and wear it comfortably at all. The buckles on the bottom do not allow the straps to adjust and it is just WAY to small. It dung into my arm pits and I had to have someone else help me take it off. My 10 year old tiny daughter could not even use it comfortably.

Just took this bag for seven weeks to Ecuador. I loved nearly everything about it, and nothing was a deal-breaker. It was the perfect daybag size. It was durable and the finish, which has a slight sheen (I got the pewter) was a nice color and repelled dirt well. It was easy to access the main compartment due to the "C" shaped zipper opening. The side pocket perfectly fit a tall Camelbak water bottle without worry of it falling out. (It could actually fit a bottle slightly wider). If I could change anything: - Add a breathable back panel. - I personally didn't use the "credit card" pockets inside the lower outside zip pocket at all. I felt it put them in too vulnerable a spot, but that's just me. - the mesh pocket within the other side pocket tended to get caught in the outside zipper unless you were very careful. I liked the mesh pocket, and I'm not sure how to change it to avoid catching, but it was a nuisance. - I'm not sure how tall someone would need to be to utilize all of what I thought were the very long shoulder straps. Luckily the straps came with elastic bands so that the extra could be folded up, but I still feel like they were too long. - I would have made the pocket on the inside back (below the zippered compartment) a little deeper. Things tended to fall out of it.
