Nice to look at but not hold
The description on the product page was minimal, but this was on someone's gift list so I thought he knew what he was getting. Both of us were surprised that the item is made of hard plastic and not very flexible. The coloring appears to have been painted on some parts and is a bit dull in hue. It's smaller than the dimensions listed on the product page with it actually being 6 inches across its widest part. For the price paid, we expected a bit better quality. It looks nice on a display shelf if you don't look at the detail.

I read the description and reviews on this toy before I bought it for my four year old son. He is in love with octopus and jellyfish. He carries this with him everywhere we go. The size is a good size for him to play with. I understood that the giant in the name was referring to the fact it is modeled after the giant octopus, and that the toy would not be huge. I actually figured it would be smaller. It is the size of a dessert plate, or a bit larger. The detail on it is pretty amazing, and the colors are pretty close to what the actual one looks like. This would be a good bath toy as well. I will be buying more of the water animals from this company.
