Melitta Original Coffee Filters, 40 per Box, Size 1 x 2, Art. 6722913, Natural Brown

I deliberated and researched for ages trying to get to the bottom of what 1x2 meant and what standard size these papers were. In the end I took a chance and it paid off. These are the same as No. 2 filter papers from other makers. The actual papers have no taste I can detect in the coffee and filter out all the various particles leaving a clean result. Other than that, they are good value and arrived promptly. Hope that helps!

This is the correct filter for my little two-cup coffee machine. I have been cutting the four-cup size down but that doesn't always work very well so it's better to have the correct size. The two-cup size doesn't seem to be available in the supermarkets though so in future I'll buy them from Amazon. The questions about flavour and being easy to clean don't apply to this item.

The original drip cone coffee filter papers and do the job well. Another well-known brand of filter papers works well too (I have stocks of both). Cost of packs of these filters is modest & makes brewing a mug or two small cups of very decent coffee easy & fuss-free,

Can't quite believe I'm reviewing coffee filters but after buying the (rubbish ) cheaper ones I'm pleased to have reverted to Melitta - worth the difference; they don't fold or leak when you empty them out and they filter the coffee well. I shall buy again and not bother with alternatives.
