MARINA (A1018) Algae Scrub - Large

Does what it is meant to do, the angle can be a bit awkward with a tank with a fixed section on top but it still works and does the job.

Decent long handle, scrubbing pad could be better but adequate

Did the job i needed it for, better used with medium to large size gravel, as small gravel and sand may get trapped in it and it will scratch your tank glass.

You would think that buying a Marina product would mean you are getting the best for your tank & money. Unfortunately this is just a hard sponge on a stick - which wouldn't be a problem if it worked better! Its okay if you want to scrub extremely hard (whilst trying not to cause a Tsunami in your tank) and if it is just for surface Algae on the glass. However it cannot get very low and still leaves a lot of Algae on the glass despite your best efforts. In the end, I found that a normal washing up brush/sponge did a better job, you just have to be prepared to get your arms wet.

I was really struggling to clean all the algae off my tank with my current cloth so this scraper is exactly what I needed. Does the job really well and my tank is looking very clean. Doesn't scratch the glass.

This arrived in a huge box....should have been a Jiffy bag......what a waste! But it does what it should. Packaging annoyed me as I was away on business when it arrived & postie had to call 3 times to find me in..all due to silly box.

It does it job very well and it gets to those difficult places that algae grows
