Marilyn Monroe Complete 17-Pack DVD [1950]

This is the most decadent lavish extravagant luxurious sophisticated classy opulent boxset I have ever purchased it’s pure class!! A boxset very worthy indeed of the great Marilyn Monroe the most beautiful woman who ever lived and a rare amazing talent who was very underrated. The selection of films is amazing, what other boxset will you find 17!! Films by an actor, they should have included the asphalt jungle, ladies of the chorus, the prince and the showgirl and clash by night then the collection would have been complete but I have them on separate dvds but apart from that it’s perfection ❤️❤️

This is a great collection of Marilyn's films and includes some that I haven't seen before. Highly recommended collection.

Works well

This is the most definitive box set of Marilyn Monroe's movies so far, all films are in alphabetical order, mixing her early, small roles with the starring roles she completed during her short career. There's no form to the set, except to collect as much of them together and market them in an eye catching box consisting of the following films:- All About Eve As Young As You Feel BUS STOP DON'T BOTHER TO KNOCK GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE Let's Make It Legal LET'S MAKE LOVE Love Nest THE MISFITS MONKEY BUSINESS NIAGARA RIVER OF NO RETURN THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH SOME LIKE IT HOT THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS We're Not Married It's an impressive list but a disapointment not to find The Prince And The Showgirl among the titles or The Asphalt Jungle, as they are available separately and it would have made this set all the more 'Complete'. The DVDs that are here have the extra features that were previously available on disc, they all seem exactly the same as before. You can't argue with the choice of films though, where else would you find classics like All About Eve, Some Like It Hot, The Misfits, The Seven Year Itch and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes? It's a real slice of Hollywood history. Nice sturdy box decorated with classic images of Marilyn from the early 50s & this timely release would look good under any Christmas tree!

An exceptional box set of Marilyn's films, some great films are included such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Seven Year Itch, Niagra, Bus Stop, Misfits etc etc. All working in alphabetical order. The only thing I cannot understand with this set is why The Prince and The Showgirl is left out? There are plenty of Monroe bit-part films in this set and considering she is a lead in TPATS, and it's a pretty good picture, I presumed it surely would be included?! I have no rational explanation for that. Also Asphalt Jungle isn't there, I'll just have to get those 2 separately. All in all it's a lovely set, beautifully presented and hours of Marilyn fun! My favorite discovery so far has been Let's Make Love - Yves Montand is really a great comedian! Any Marilyn fan should get this.

The most complete Marilyn movie boxset around, there are few movies missing but I understand it because this is a 20th Century Fox collection! obviously will be missing movies like The Asphalt Jungle, The Prince and the Showgirl which were not from fox studios... I am happy with this boxset, now time to watch and enjoy this beautiful icon called Marilyn :-)

What can you say. 17 of the 29 completed films in which Marilyn Monroe appeared is a pretty good start to a collection. And, furthermore, they work out at less than £2 a film. Is it classily packaged? No. Is it a 'Collectors Edition? Not by any stretch of the imagination. But then only an absolute fanatic would be looking for original DVD covers or extras like original poster advertisement artwork. What you get are the films with theatrical trailers and some bios in a box. but if it's just the films you want to see, this is a brilliant choice. As a note the item did not appear as it was shown in the picture. The way the discs were cased in completely different packaging that was even more simplistic than that shown so expect some variations.

After seeing how expensive this was in another large dvd company I resigned myself to the fact that I may have to purchase individual dvds of Marilyn Monroe before I could build my collection. Couldn't believe how cheap it was on here! Others had the issue with the dvds being in alphabetical order and not in the order of the years they were filmed well I fixed that myself and just put them in order in the boxes no problem! It would have been better if Prince and the Showgirl was one of the movies included but that was ok I purchased it for a cheap price on its own. Overall im very happy with it :)

Ce n'est pas tous les films où joue Marilyn, mais certainement les plus importants. Il manque The Prince And The Showgirl et The Asphalt Jungle, disponibles en DVD individuels. Il n'y a pas de sous-titres en français, donc c'est pour ceux qui maitrisent la langue anglaise. Il y a des sous-titres en anglais, ce qui peut aider. C'est une merveilleuse collection d'une actrice et d'une chanteuse qui nous a hélas quittés trop tôt. Mi è piaciuto molto vedere questa collana che racchiude un pezzo di storia del cinema con i suoi protagonisti a me apparsi per così dire molto trendy, con una varietà di personaggi epocali senza dubbio uno dei migliori momenti di creatività che a lasciato a nostri posteri opere degne di essere ricordate. Ineluttabile e senza fine con una protagonista che lascia molto immaginare e sorprende per la sua bellezza ,dolcezza e stile che lascia sempre trasparire la voglia di ricercare verso noi stessi il lato migliore che ognuno di noi dovrebbe scoprire ma che per certi versi lascia dire agli altri.
