Replaced an old Monster PS3 Cable with this beauty that had started to dop packets, due to degradation and being stretched. it was 3m and too short. 5m is too long however 5m was the only viable option and it works brilliantly. Fingers crossed no more packet drops to my poor Dac/Amp that engages safety mode each time it happens and means that my wife or I have to go and turn up the volume again. LG TV is notorious for sneaking extra data on PCM over optical, which may also have been part of the problem. This was mostly fixed by removing the Dolby Atmos signal from TV sound settings but still had the occasional dropout, hence swapping out the optical cable. If I have more issues, then I will be in search of other solutions. I am sure that our ears like to play tricks on us, but with a new FIBBR 8K 2.1 Optical HDMI lead and this Optical Audio lead, for sound out to Dac the home system is sounding very nice again thank you. PS Toslink cable prices are majorly overpriced IMO if you compare to next-generation HDMI/Optical cables, which are coming in at a tenth of the price. Kudos to FIBBR for example. I gave five stars on price because I managed to get a Black Friday deal. Every little helps.

I bought this cable based on reviews. I use it to connect my new TV to the HiFi system via a Chord Qutest dac. Considering its cost, I cannot fault it. The sound is virtually the same as my Roksan K3 CD player. Shows you don't need to spend big bucks for toslink connection.

I use a few of these cables between my audio interface (Mutec format converter) and Denafrips Ares II, RME ADI-2 and between the Chord M Scaler and the Ares II. I must say whilst I do not think a toslink cable makes much difference, this one does noticably. I believe jitter performance is better compared with the stock toslink cables and in all equipment soundstage is a bit wider and there is "more rest" in the sound. I tend to believe that I also hear more details.. A-B between this cable and stock toslink cables (even the one from the M Scaler which is a higher quality than usual stock cables) shows a noticable improvement in sound. For the improvement price - quality is good. I would recommend.

Für den TV Ton, reicht dieses Kabel völlig aus. Klanglich, macht es einen Unterschied zu einem billigeren Kabel (z.B. von SKW). Ich kann es jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf guten TV Ton legt.

È un cavo ottico. Ma l’ho usato per sostituire un cavo economico tra streamer e dac e con mio stupore la differenza si sente. Stavo per cambiare il dac ( un buon topping e30 ii) perché suonava scuro e tappato. Ebbene era il cavo economico. Per ascoltare musica in impianti hi-fi anche entry level i cavi fanno effettivamente la differenza
