Happy with this DMX decoder! Made my idea come true! Easy plug and play. I went with SoundSwitch for software and the effects you can create are mind blowing! Love it! I hope it lasts

while I purchased this in Oct 2023 I didn't get to dabble with the device until now. It doesn't speak DMX right out of the box. I tried it with several devices from consoles to DMXcad - this came as a paperweight. Even the programmed test cues have issues to 'run' properly. No DMX = Junk

Decoder works great and is easy to use. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I wish the green plugs were removable (plug in type) to make wiring a little easier. But I guess that may be a personal preference. But solidly built and works like a charm!

When it first arrive, everything worked ok. Two month after the purchase (only one use until then), the red channel on the first LED turns always on, fixed (as you can see in the photo). I had stopped using it and jump to the second one as the first LED fixture. Now, a few month later, on the 4th LED, red and blue channels works as a one. I can choose if I turn on or off, or the intensity from 0 to 255, but it will change the two colors at the same time. So the amount of colors that I can make on this 4th LED its very limited. Not worth the money, go with another LED decoder vendor.

The (30 channel) device works better than some. The DIP switches can be used to set the initial channel, though sometimes I had to set and reset them to get it to take. The LEDs on the device show activity on the channel, which is helpful. With short DMX frames they seemed to indicate that channels past the end of the frame were being controlled. The showstopper for me is that the base PWM rate appears to be about 700 Hz, which causes a noticeable flicker on the BTF FCOB strips I use, and requires a higher minimum slot value (8) before the strip emits light, and a brighter minimum brightness than with higher rate devices.
