Extech 45118 Mini Waterproof Thermo Anemometer

This anemometer is so easy to use. Did have to read instructions to set units, but no problems. Reliable and tough with accurate wind readings. The temps seem to be a little slow when removing from the vehicle and reactive to wind readings, hence the 4 stars.

Works very well as a relative air flow measurement tool. Though the instrument has a nice internal absolute air flow computation, in practice the accuracy isn't very good. Use it as a comparison tool and you'll be very happy.

I have used several of this exact model and I have never had any issues. Nice and compact, easy for travel.

I bought this to balance the A/C ducts in my home. I was quite surprised at how bad the system was designed with small rooms receiving high CFM's and large rooms with very little. This tool does a nice job in calculating the CFM based on the measured duct opening. It reads the airspeed then uses the duct dimensions to display CFM. As a bonus the thing does IR temperature readings as well but my primary application was CFM measurement and this it does well. Easy to use with big bright display that is backlighted at the touch of a button. Great tool at a decent price compared to others on the market. It came with a very nice case that also holds the instruction book.

This is a good instrument but is not the best when being used with air flow that may have any dust in the air. The vain has continually given us problems with accurate reading.

It is important for me to log in weather conditions at my location for the drones I fly. This is easy and quick to set up and read.

Bought one for use with my quadcopter to keep an eye on wind speed. Does what I need and more. However please note will not do mph and degrees c together. Why I don't know but once you know how to use it going back and forth to check what you need to know is easy.

die einfache Ausführung 45118 wurde geschickt.Soll heißen, Produkt und Produktbeschreibung sind nicht identisch - ohne Luftfeuchtemessung und Datenübertragung....nur Wind- und Temperaturmessung möglich. Geht dann wieder zurück.

instructions are not clear and configuration is a little tricky. Too bad for a potentially-excellent product.
