Fabric Stabiliser: Solvy

Easy to use and fantastic for fibre arts. You can lay down a lot of scrap fabrics over a large piece if textile and the clear sheet allows you to see your work while stitching over the piece.I would recommend securing the sheet to your piece with tacking so nothing will move around while you add free motion embroidery or other machine stitches.The sheet dissolves well in both cold and hot water, but I think it works slightly better with the latter option.While the sheet dissolves you might see some jelly like clumps, so make sure that you thoroughly rinse your work to avoid remaining bits.

It took a while for the product to reach me as it got lost in the post somewhere but the customer service team were very helpful with prompt replies to my questions (thank you!). The actual product is very good quality and is perfect for my embroidery project.

It was a lot easier to use than I thought and dissolved with the smallest amount of water so didn't have to soak item.

Much thicker than I am use to making it really easy to use and you don't have to be really careful with it. It comes folded so has heavy folds which was a slight issue because of my design but there is a large amount so no big problem. A good delivery time too

This case is excellent quality at a reasonable price.It fits the new iPad 9.7 and gives it plenty of protection.It can be used as a stand in Landscape but not Portrait

Needed to alter lace dress from 3/4 sleeve to short. Had to remove sleeves & make template for shorter & wider (needed to oversew round lace pattern for bottom of insert. This gave stability needed for fine lace & replacing sleeves. Excess just tore off gently, rest 'melted away' in warm water afterwards - perfect!

Very happy with product. It is easy to pull away excess when embroidery is finished, leaving only the stabiliser directly under the stitches.

Didn’t realise it was so like plastic, I was looking for more of a stabiliser made of a soft fabric so can’t give an accurate review as I haven’t used it.
