All you need for home use
Works very well. I'm glad I chose this one. It has roughly doubled the speed of my cards compared with my computer's internal reader so for £10 this was a no brainer. Read speeds are about 150% (2.5x) quicker, Write speeds are about 50-60% quicker from testing the various SD and MicroSD cards that I have via USB 3.0. The faster the card, the more noticeable the difference. The really slow cards do not Write any faster than the internal reader, but the Reading is always significantly faster. It's made of plastic and very lightweight so time will tell how long it lasts but I'm quite careful with my stuff and have secured it with some sticky pads so it shouldn't get damaged. It's very compact and looks smart. The blue LED stays on all the time and flashes when the cards are in use. You can use multiple cards at the same time apart from SD and MicroSD where you can only use one (or other) at a time. Includes free file recovery software download as well - nice bonus! Not much more to say other than it does the job very well. If you're a professional you may want something even faster and more heavy duty but I think for the average home user this is all you need. I'll look out for the Transcend brand in future.

Excellent Card Reader. Very Easy to use.
Excellent product. Transcend All-in-1 Multi-Card Reader Device (SDHC/SDXC/MSXC USB 3.0) Black . Bought as my PENTAX OPTIO 33L would no longer work due to incompatibility with WINDOWS 10 (& no suitable update available from Pentax), but works with whatever type of info you have on your memory card (music, documents, video etc). The reader takes many sizes/ types of memory cards and you can download a user leaflet from the Transcend website. The card reader is very simple to use. Just plug it into your laptop via USB3 or USB2 & put your memory card into it, in my case a Compact Flash 133x 2GB. Blue light on the Reader comes on when it's connected. Go into your preferred viewing / editing application e.g Photoscape. You may find that your laptop automatically starts up an application depending on your laptop settings or brings up a list of applications you have on your laptop (e.g windows own preferred apps). Personally, I close that message box then open my preferred option e.g Photoscape. In the application, e.g Photoscape, I open the appropriate Drive which corresponds to the USB connection you've used (e.g mine is F:). You can then copy or transfer your photos (or files of any type) across to your laptop, or just leave them on your memory card and work on them there. In fact I wish I had bought this card reader years ago as it is a much easier way of getting at my photos.

Very fast, good for laptop computers
I have used Transcend Compact Flash cards for several years and been very satisfied with them, so it was logical to replace a failed card reader with a Transcend device. This works very well, as expected. Cards are recognised quickly and the transfer rate is very fast. I have two criticisms. Firstly the USB cable provided is so short (35cm) it is nearly impossible to use the reader with a tower case computer; secondly, the reader is very small, so the MS card slot is actually on the rear, next to the cable connector. For use with a laptop, these criticisms would not be particularly relevant, but for tower computers, a longer USB cable is essential.

Does the job
Does its job, just wish it was more weighted in the base as the cable tends to make the device unstable. Transfers all my photos in minutes rather than hours. SD card slot just sits the cards, no locking mechanism? Just make sure you blue tack the base down other wise it will flip over etc.

Compact, well made, fast.
I picked this up because I wanted something a bit quicker than the built in reader on my laptop for downloading camera cards. It is impressively compact for a multi format reader, and feels well made. The supplied USB 3 cable is short, ideal for connecting to a laptop, if you're going to use it with a desktop you may need a longer cable depending on the position of your ports. The claimed speeds are of course under ideal conditions, but I am satisfied with the speeds I'm seeing. Using a Sandisk Extreme Pro SD card (rated at 95MB/s read speed) I'm seeing sustained transfer rates of around 30MB/s when transfering photos taken with my DSLR (I shoot RAW+ with my 16MPix camera, so each frame is ~ 1x30MB RAW and 1x10MB JPEG). That's about 3x what I was getting from the built in reader and is around what I was expecting with this mix of file sizes. All around, excellent for the money.

Small and Compact, Just Works.
5 stars as it just works and is small and compact. After my old multi-card reader stopped working after upgrading to Windows 8 I needed a new one for Desktop Computer, this little beauty does the job required with ease, just plug into a USB slot and do whatever you need to. When not required it's easy to store away till next time, as its so small and compact. The USB lead that comes with it is 18" long which is ideal for plugging into a USB hub (in my case this does lower the USB speed to USB 2.0 as my hub is'nt a USB 3.0 but the option is always there to directly plug into a USB 3.0 port where ever they are situated) if you have one on Desktop or into the front USB ports on computer case, If you plug into the rear USB ports at back of computer it will sit on top of computer case but you can if you need rear access always use a longer USB lead to reach to desktop for ease of use (if computer is on floor or lower down situated), either way the multi-card reader can be used out of box.

A good addition to a DSLR Shooters bag transfers files fast. ill start with the pros first. Note: Update the Frimware first. It was very easy just download the firmware update tool from Transcend Website and Run the tool whilst the reader is connected to a USB port of your computer. + Transfers files fast I am using Lexar Professional 32 GB 400x and it didn't disappoint interms of speed. Got 60 MB/sec Read and 34 MB/Sec Write. Also attached Atto and Crystaldiskmark Pics. + Supports a great variety of cards. + Does not obstruct other ports (Separate USB 3.0 cable which I can also use with my other USB 3.0 devices such as my WD Passport drive). + Seems durable. + Price was right. For me its not a con but for some it could be a bit bigger.

I have problem when connected the card reader to the front USB of my PC, lost connection when transfer files to PC. Now I connected the card reader to the back USB of my PC, I have no problem. I have no idea why but it works.
