FLEX Messenger Bag, 3.5 L

I had been encouraged to order the Eastpak Flex 3.5L shoulder bag based on reviews and the video and images I had seen. However when it arrived I was rather surprised by its compact dimensions and wondered if it would be big enough for my purposes. Thankfully I need not worry as while the bag is built and designed to be compact, there is surprisingly ample capacity within its dimensions. The large folder from flap is a bonus since it functions not only as additional weather-proofing but makes the bag even more secure given its very robust velcro fastening. There are more than sufficient storage compartments beginning with the front zippered compartment on the flap which conceals a further zippered pocket on the front body of the bag while the main compartment itself features another zippered section for valuables. At the rear of the bag is another pocket though this is not zippered. While the width of the bag appears small at just 4.5cm, it will expand to allow a 500ml bottle of water to be carried in the main compartment without the bottle itself protruding through the ballistic nylon material so the compact appearance of the bag is preserved. If there might be a downside it is perhaps that the bag and its colour may show up fluff but given its many useful features this is perhaps a small issue. I would happily recommend the Eastpak Flex 3.5L bag which additionally looks sufficiently robust for daily use. There may be less expensive bags on the market but the overall quality of this product and its features as described makes it good value for money.

Bought to carry PPE stuff around with me on daily basis- has a number of easy assess pockets, so in each section the items are organised: perfect size containing 1x 330 ml water bottle, 1x pack of antibacterial wipes, 1x antibacterial hand gel, some disposable gloves, packet of masks. It’s great. Washed in washing machine weekly.

This is ideal for carrying a Nexus 7 + glasses, phone etc. The tablet (in a case) fits comfortably:- Anything smaller would have been tight, anything larger would have been a waste of space. Its genuinely unisex (in black) and I (a male) have no problem wearing it satchel style around town. Its very well made (should be for the slightly premium price) and secure. On the downside, I'd have preferred fewer superficial pockets and, instead, had some sort of waterproof lining. A key ring fob would also have been useful. Overall, at least 4 star and highly recommended.

Well made from quality material and neat stitching and good quality zips. Well designed too.

Bought this for travelling; to carry tickets, passport, book, kindle etc. Great bag. Big enough to carry the above as well as a small bottle of water and travel camera. Has internal zip pocket and pen holders. Nice colour blue, robust and not flashy. Just the job for trips abroad. Very pleased with it. A shoulder pad would have been nice but not a deal breaker.

I was a little worried by some of the reviews about the measures of this bag and that maybe it was going to be too small for what I wanted, but I'm really glad I took the chance. This is a great bag. It's really well made and a very high quality and is more than big enough for what I was looking for, with lots of compartments and room to spare. It comes with a 30 year warranty too, which is perfect for me, as I like things last. Would highly recommend.

Thought this would be handy little bag. Eastpak always produce well designed quality products. But I hate Velcro on bags and purses etc and unfortunately the top flap of this bag is secured closed by two heavy duty strips of velcro - and the back pocket is also secured with a strip of velcro. If they had used a clasp buckle and a zipper I would have kept it but it'll have to be returned
