Faber-Castell 12 Count Jumbo Grip Graphite Pencils

I know these are supposed to be for children, but the older I get the more arthritis I feel in my hands and the more my hands hurt when I use skinny pens and pencils. I like the F-C Grip pencils so I thought I'd buy the kid's jumbo version. They work great! It's not just the girth, it is also the triangular shape and small nubbies that provide grip. They aren't as cheap as Ticonderoga (about x4) but they are cheaper than many specialty pencils like the Blackwings. The only draw back is I had to buy a pencil sharpener that could fit the larger diameter. F-C had me covered there, too, with a triple sharpener that does regular, jumbo, and colored pencils. So far all the pencils have been great with no crumbling or off center leads. Very pleased.

This is an awesome pencil! I really figured “ how could they possibly improve upon a pencil?” Well, leave it to the Germans, they did it! If you look at all the pictures that I included, you can see the differences between the jumbo pencil and the smaller pencil (same brand), as well as a common bic pen and a normal pencil. I am a guy who uses a pencil multiple times a day to fill out Scantron type form on the road, so I don’t always have access to a pencil sharpener. For a guy with fat fingers, this is the perfect size to hold and do my work. This triangle shaped pencil makes it easy to shift between one of three different sides, to find The sharpest edge. It is a very tough lead that I have not been able to break yet. The little black dots, are very comfortable to hold. My biggest complaint, is that this jumbo pencil does not have an eraser built in on top!!! Obviously this jumbo pencil cost a little bit more than your average pencil, but in my opinion, thus far, it’s been worth it.

We love these pencils at our house. The triangular shape supports the correct pencil grip, and the rubber knobs on the sides make it easy to keep the correct grip in position. No sliding while writing. The core never breaks, and the the perfect texture for easy writing. The pencil glides easily and smoothly over paper. I've been using these pencils for my kids for the last three years and they always reach for this one, over any other pencils we have lying around, for their writing and drawing. I also love writing with it. You won't regret this purchase.

These pencils are ubiquitous in stores in Europe but we didn't find them at local stores here in the states. They are really much better for little hands/fingers just learning or practicing handwriting and doing homework. The thickness is between the giant fat cartoonish preschool pencils and the regular ol'yeller wooden #2. The lead is thicker too and comes to a nice point when sharpened. They really wear better than others that my kids seem to be able to grind up endlessly in an attempt to keep a suitable point. I got these pencils for the kids to do homework at home so I can keep an eye on them (the pencils) because lord knows, they would never make it home from school. We get to keep at the writing and not stop to sharpen the dadgum pencil every few minutes. They are quite a bit more pricy than an average pencil but I think it's worth it.

Great grip provided by rubbery nubs and a joy to write with.

It is great for kids that have trouble writing. For the kids that are older, these don't look like kindergarten pencils.

I like the size, the texture and the lead.

C’est vraiment les meilleurs crayons pour démarrer l’entrée dans l’écrit en MS ou GS. Je suis enseignante et reeducatrice en écriture, je n’utilise que ceux là. Pour les PS je ne recommande pas ce genre de crayon, plutôt les galets de coloriage qui aident à la prise tridigitale

Hola. Hice el pedido del lápiz. En teoría dice que llegó el 17 de agosto. Estaba de vacaciones y al llegar no hay notificación en el buzón de que lo hubieran dejado.

Pencil is perfect and my son finds it really helps him, but the listing said it was for 12 pencils and I only received one! Amazon did send me an additional pencil to make up for this however they are still overpriced and I would not have ordered had I known it was only for one pencil. Great item, just be careful to consider what you are getting.
