Good quality
Good quality. The length is very handy and seems to be accurate, I use mine for film processing.

A good example of the type.
I bought it to keep an eye on the temperature of my fridge. Overall accuracy was not essential, but consistency is and it performs admirably. It comes in a handy container, which helps keep it safe.

Necessary purchase to calibrate other thermometers
After buying two digital thermos that gave seemingly insane readings 4 or 5 degrees higher than what I imagined the temperature to be, I had to get a glass one I could calibrate. This one did the job, although the first had shattered in the tube as the packing doesn't surround it with any protection and it just rattles inside its plastic sleeve. In boiling water it read 99 degrees. In melting ice, -1. That shows the thermo is reading one degree too low, so I can read accurately just bumping up its reading one degree. And as a result of having a scientific reference point, I can calibrate other thermos against this one. Turns out those two digital thermometers were bang on and my ideas of what the temperature were based on how it felt to me were completely whack! A glass thermo is too fragile and specialist for everyday use. This one provides an affordable means to calibrate more practical thermos without having to shell out big bucks on scientific calibrated digital thermometers. I consider it a good investment.

Very good temperate teller
This is a good thermometer and is very durable. Packaging was very strong and it is very accurate in readings. Perfect for every day home use and for scientific research.

Accurate and easy to read
I got this because another laboratory analogue thermometer I purchased was difficult to read. I can easily read the temperature with this. Further I calibrated it and found it to be accurate. In a bucket of melting ice and water it =0.0 and in a kettle of distilled water at a rolling boil it =100.0

Just what I needed
This was perfect to test the temperature of chemicals needed to develop negative film at home (38 degrees C). Very pleased with it, it does the job. The only negative is that it came in a huge box when it's really only a smallish item, yet was well cushioned.

This thermometer is excellent. I've bought different thermometers over the years for Homebrewing (many of these were supposed to specifically for HBing) but I'm happiest with this one. I was a bit worried about putting this glass thermometer into very hot liquid, but it is is scaled to well over 100C somust be perfectly safe. I use this for when Im bringing my Sparge water up to temp. I simply rest the thermometer between the pot rim and the lid and keep an eye.
