Pulse PLS00322 XLR 15 m Multicore

Waited to review until I'd had it out and about a few times - so after several months of use I'm glad to confirm that this is great. I run sound at 2 or 3 events a month in a variety of venues, so I really needed something that was both lightweight and robust. My previous multicore is wound on a solid cast iron frame and I literally can't lift it in the car without using the kind of language that would get me sacked from most jobs. So this, which you can pretty much tuck under one arm, is great. The connectors seem fine - there are probably higher quality ones available for more expensive multicores, but these ones do seem like they're going to last, and there's no deterioration in sound quality. They've survived being yanked (from the wire) out of my sound desk (by someone who really thought he was helping) so I think the soldering is up to standard. That I got all of this without breaking the bank makes me really happy. If you want something that's going to be used 365 days a year, or by people that have less interest in taking care of one, then maybe go for a soundcraft, but if like me you want something good enough for pro gigs but can't justify spending hundreds of pounds then I'd say this is the stage box for you.

This is a budget product, but we haven't found anything wrong with it. We're using it in a fixed installation, so it isn't subject to any real abuse, but it seems sturdy enough. A good purchase.

Having trawled the internet for an 8/4 snake, this seemed the best value one at the time. I mix the sound for a couple of small ceilidh bands, and need to get the mixer down the room. As I use active FOH speakers and monitors I can run the returns through the snake. If you use passive speakers you'd need power signal cables, or an on stage amp. I really wanted one on a reel for ease of use, but they were twice the price. This is a well made cable, with a heavy duty stage box and substantial cable gland. The tails are threaded through a perforated plastic plate which slides along the tails and helps stop them tangling. Sends are numbered 1-8, returns A-D. Tail connectors seem to be good quality. I modified my cable to fit on a home made reel, which gave me a chance to examine the connections inside the stage box. It all seemed to have been made to a good standard. I fixed a keyring to the tail end of the cable with a zip cable tie, and that gets hung from the mixer frame to prevent strain on the connectors. A good product at a great price. I'd give 5 stars if it was on a reel.

Really like it, as Im not tripping over cables to my drum kit in my room. They work pretty well and cant notice any problems yet.

Excellent product. Good construction and has been thrown around a heck of a lot since I got it. It's really made cable management easier for all our bands. Good price, too.

Great value for money. Solid build and nice touches like protective bag for end box and cable tidy clip on flail end.

Fast delivery, looks great quality, all connections are tight. It would be great if it had one or two 1/4 jack or combi-sockets. I have to use a 1/4 jack to XLR adaptors for the AUX returns from my desk to the stage monitors.
