This is so easy to use and the results are great. No need to throw that brush away, use the brush cleaner and pop your brush away.

The product is great. The delivery by Hermes not so good - the parcel looked as if it had been used as a football. Luckily the bottle inside was undamaged.

I have used white spirit to clean brushes but that has not worked very well. The Polycell Brush Cleaner is very different - exceptionally so. Today I used Hammerite paint on some metal work. Hammerite paint is a different kind of paint - it is heavier, thicker, and much more expensive. Having used this paint in the past with white spirit to clean the brushes I usually ended up having to throw the brushes away because the white spirit could not remove all the paint from the brushes. Polycell paint brush cleaner is much more effective. The Polycell cleaner obviously contains much more than just white spirit. The bottle states that is contains several detergents that break down paint. I have no idea what those detergents are but I can confirm that they work and work very well. One very important tip: as soon as you no longer use the paint brush put it into a container (not polystyrene) with the Polycell and 'work' the brush in the Polycell. You will see the paint coming out of the brush having been dissolved. Once you have 'worked' the brush a several times little paint will come from the brush. At that point it is time to put the brush into warm soapy (Fairy liquid for example) water. After having shaken and soaked up as much Polycell cleaner as possible. I use kitchen towel or rags. 'Work' the brush in the soapy water until there is very little of the paint appears and then leave to dry after which your paint brush should pretty much be like new. It is said that a good workman (person) looks after his (her) tools and using Polycell cleaner is very definitely the way to look after your paint brushes!

Does what it says

Good product but have taken one star off due to the really strong smell which made me feel quite sick. The odour from this paint remover was stronger than from the anti condensation paint I was putting on the wall.

I'm impressed by how quickly and thoroughly this cleans brushes but wish it was a bit cheaper.
