A reasonable quality Bevel
I wasn't expecting too much for £4.45 delivered, after all a decent adjustable bevel would cost well over £20 which is okay if you're a carpenter, but rather pointless for very occasional use. However, this bevel ticks the right boxes and it does the job well enough. It certainly looks as good as the Marples M2226 bevel until you inspect it closely. The stock is obviously not Rosewood and the brass fittings are only glued on which might be alright in the short term but wouldn't last long in a tool bag, for example. The one I received required 'finishing off'. The countersunk hole for the screw wasn't perfectly round (obviously cut with a larger diameter drill bit and not a countersink), the screw hole itself wasn't vertical and hence the screw projected on one edge, and the screw itself still had the burrs where the slot had been cut (vaguely off-centre as it happens) causing the screw to sit too high. All correctable though. Still, considering the almost silly price and the small amount of use I shall put it to it is a good buy, but only 4 stars because of the poor finishing off.

Good value. Surprisingly well made.
We used to be a seller of these years ago so knew they were good. Used for roofing angles. Its a fine tool. Wipe the metal with some light oil after use and it will last forever. The edges are sharp.

Well built. Good materials.
Would be a bigher rating however it did come a little bent in the packaging. I've have since straightened it back out and it's fine now.

Excellent value
This bevel gauge is well made from brass and hardwood but still lightweight. Definitely recommend buying it.

OK but a bit fiddly
Not bad for finding an angle and transferring it to the work peice. The large wingnut is a bit clunky in confined spaces.
