Forget Robin, this is the ultimate SideKick!
I've owned many Leatherman tools, including much more expensive models than the SideKick, however, this is the best all rounder! It has a tool for every job and the pliers are very sturdy. Even if you don't consider yourself a hands-on person, having a SideKick around the house is always useful (of course, keep it well away from children, locked up high). I purchased my SideKick in early 2015 and have used it constantly for many purposes and it has never failed me. The knife is still razor sharp and I have never sharpened it. I don't use the saw too often but it's handy for gardening work. When I first got the SideKick, the knife was difficult to slide out with one hand but this has loosened over time and is now comfortable to slide out, however, the saw is still stiff due to little use; other than this, I can't fault it. Both the blade and saw have cutouts at their base, this is to provide grip for your thumb to slide them out. The blade and saw are both locking, this makes them illegal in the UK to carry in public without good reason. If you need to transport it from A to B (which is a good reason), just make sure that it's hidden away; locked if possible, so that it couldn't easily be reached for. If you're unsure about the legality in your area, I'd advise you to contact your local police and get advise there. Always be forthcoming to officers if asked! There is a small ring on the inside of the blade's side which can be lifted out and can be used to attach the SideKick to a lanyard which is useful if you need it over a long period. Tools include: - Flathead screwdriver - Philips screwdriver - Small serrated blade - File with measurements - Bottle opener - Lanyard ring - Locking serrated saw - Locking blade - Wire cutter (inside the pliers) - Pliers Overall, excellent multitool, I use it all the time and because it's Leatherman, you know you're using a quality tool that can handle the pressure. I would absolutely recommend it!

great multitool bargin price
after reading all the reviews and watching youtube videos, i decided i could not justify speading over 50pounds on a tool, when this was available, arrived in normal mega fast time with prime, i cannot believe the quality of this tool for 34pounds, it came with a nylon sheath and a very good stainless steel carabiner tool, that has a bottle opener and a hex hole that accepts diy screwbits!!!! just put a standard bit holder in up to flange then use any bit you want in it, hex, flat bit, philips bit its great little tool, amazing price as i have seen this little carabiner standalone for around 9pounds when you take that into account your getting multi tool for about 25 quid!!!!!!! . tool is great, knife and saw are accessible from closed tool, everything else you open tool to access. quality overall is very very good and well finished great work leatherman and thanks amazon

Great multi-tool for work and sport; NOT legal for everyday carry
IMPORTANT: Owing to blades that lock in the open position, having this multi-tool with you in a public place without good reason is an offence under Section 139 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988. This Leatherman multi-tool is a useful bit of kit for anyone who needs, well, multiple tools. The ability to have a sharp knife, serrated knife (saw), file, pliers, wire cutters and screwdriver in one small package make this great for work; a bottle opener makes post-work remarkably great too! The Knife and saw are made of 420HC stainless steel (the HC standing for high carbon) which is very easy to sharpen, but does not hold an edge as well as some other grades of stainless. Nevertheless, the quality of the knife is pretty good and can (and should) be maintained with a basic double-sided whetstone. This can prevent stress-related chipping of the blade. The multi-tool comes with a branded black nylon pouch with a belt loop that allows you to wear the tool in a place where you can get to it easily. This pouch fits belts up to two inches, allowing wearers of duty belts (such as police officers, paramedics, army cadets, etc.) to thread it onto their appointments. The main blades (knife and saw) have locking mechanisms on them that securely hold them in place during use to prevent them closing unintentionally. In my opinion, this makes use of these blades much safer than equivalent non-folding types. However, these same locking mechanisms make the Leatherman unsuitable for your everyday carry (known as EDC) knives. Under UK law, the only knives you are allowed to carry routinely are folding pocket knives with a cutting edge of three inches or less and that do not have a locking mechanism. All that said, if you are intending to use the multi-tool as part of your work or sport then you have a good reason to carry it. You would have to be able to demonstrate that good reason to a constable (for example by wearing an electrician’s uniform, being a police officer or paramedic, or by being halfway up a mountain in hiking gear). When travelling to or from your work or sport, you would have to put the tool in a place such as the bottom of your rucksack or boot of your car to show that you were making the tool as inaccessible as possible. This would give a police officer the ability to use his power of discretion, thus avoiding being nicked! All in all, this is a great tool for those who have good reason to use it. I have mine for work and use it often. For those who want an everyday carry knife, I’m afraid you’ll have to pass this one up and stick to a traditional non-locking folding knife.

Excellent
This is an amazing item. I do a lot of DIY and this caters for all my needs. I own a Skeletool as well, but this is a far more useful item. Great value for money. Very solid multi tool that fits well in your pocket. I highly recommend the Sidekick.
