This book in particular lead to an extremely funny quote for my kiddo when she was reading about how walruses have a thick layer of blubber to keep them warm she looks over at me pats my belly and says “just like you dad” I still laugh about it when ever I think of it…. Also got a PF membership a week or so later lol

The Kratt brothers are top tier for kids books about animals
When it comes to animal facts books the Kratt brothers are top tier for young readers. Engaging
My son has struggled with learning to read and these books kept his interest and he was engaged enough in finding out about the story that he wanted to read it over and over.

Your kids will love it!
Listen, my kids ( boys and girl) love all things Kratts brothers! To be able to watch my kids dig into these books warms my heart because I remember the original kratts brothers. My kids watch the show and they are still into these books even after they’ve seen the episodes! These are great so science(homeschool), too!

Some words are a little challenging, like names of animals.
I'm so glad these books exist! My kids love these books and read them over and over again. They give interesting, bite size animal facts with fun illustrations. Some words, such as some animal names, challenge them, which has been great.

Our 5 year old son loves this series on TV so thought I would purchase the books. I purchased step 2 because I thought even if easy for him to read he would still enjoy them. Step 2 is harder than I though so, while still readable does add challenge with some words. He loves it! Learning about animals and reading - win win!!
