I'm comparing 3 products available on amazon 1) Congo USB A to TYPE C 2) QZ USB A to TYPE C 3) Cablescreation Micro B to TYPE C (Current) My machine: Intel NUC i7 10th gen, it has Thunderbolt 4 with updated drivers and firmware. My HDD: WD 4TB My Passport external USB. It is highly fragmented to imitate real life scenario No other processes or activities were running in my device at the time of test. I did enable optimize for performance under devmgmt.msc > Disk Drives > Policies. Ranking best products based on current test. 1) QZ 2) Cablescreation(This is a direct connection and it should be rank 1, but even I'm confused) 3) Conco 4) Stock cable that comes with WD HDD. Note: I do get faster speeds on each of these products on other drives, but I used a worst case scenario. Product Review: QZ: Works provides better speeds compared to stock-only usb cable connection. Seems Sturdy, wire is thick, and hard to bend, less flexible. Works better when using type A to Type C converter, but seems like QZ which is also USB 3.1 beats this product by minor difference This should be preferred when possible, as it won't block any ports on cabinet's panel. Issues: minor reduction in speeds when compared to QZ type A to Type C converter. Wire is thick, so it may be prone to breakage, and it won't stay relaxed when bent, it likes to stay straight, so have to adjust HDD distance accordingly Costly compared to the type A to Type C converter. But then there's quality plastic housing that's used. Edit: New CrystalDiskMark result added. Cable is indeed capable of providing optimal performance.

Big difference in download speed and booting games via the ssd adaptor great for games that are above 100gb and also is smooth and stable even at non stop play can handle overnight downloads cause, there I no heating up or weird buring chemical smells the ssd heats up though but it's warm not hot to the touch that you can't hold it

I lost my old cable and so I was using a simple micro usb cable which gave like 35mb/s but then I saw this and thought of giving it a try and Damn! was I shocked because I was getting the performance of any new 3.0 hard drive from 6 year old enclosure and a second hand Seagate drive that I got for rs.1200 for 1tb and so for just under 2k I got 1tb HDD that gives both read and write of 100-120mp/s and sometimes even more if I format my drive to NTFS and it also works great with my Ipad Air 4 just plug in the usb c and I can transfer any file from my IPAD to it at almost 100-110mb/s.

Fast speed is ok

Perfect fit for most hard drives and works well with Mac

The cable is doing its job. Nice product with better build quality

I lost the cable for my WD hard drive and ordered this one as a replacement so I could use it on my Mac more easier and it works great, I’ve used it on Mac and on windows and it’s worked on both, transferring on and off the hard drive is pretty fast as well
