it worked until it didn't. only lasted 3 months, during which i changed the battery twice. One day out of the blue, it just started going off and wouldn't stop until i took the battery out. Then everytime you install battery again, it either constantly alarms or if you get lucky, it waits till the door opens then constantly alarms till you take the battery out. Poor quality - that's what you get with the amazon gamble - so cheap you don't bother to refund, but my money is still wasted.

Wireless Door Open Sensor Alarm Chime, 400ft Operating Range 52 Chimes Volume with Mute ……. This is a door alarm not a doorbell, although they look similar this does not have a bell push button. Instead, it has a magnet which fixes to either the door or door frame and a detector unit that fits opposite the magnet. There is a separate chimer that plugs directly into a UK 3-pin mains outlet and automatically pairs with the unit on the door. When the door is opened, this is detected, and a signal sent to the chimer. The chimer can be set for about 5 different volume levels and has 52 different chime tunes / sounds. It can be quite loud so no chance of missing someone opening the door. The indicator on the front of the chimer also flashes so if you are hearing impaired you have a visual indication that the door has opened. Extremely easy installation, it comes with double sided sticky pads shaped to fit the magnet and the sensor, just stick them on the door and frame opposite but next to each other, you will see a small flashing LED on the detector so you can see if its activated or not, although it can help with positioning, it is so simple that you just put them centrally opposite each other and that is it. The range is good, I tested it from the next room from the front door and tested it from the furthest room and even down the garden to the greenhouse and it worked without a problem. It also comes with a set of short wood screws which you can use to secure the sticky pad as they may not stick to wood frames very well. Don’t forget to remove the battery tab from the back of the sensor to activate it, it has a replaceable Lithium-Ion battery but should last at least 12 months. A simple, easy installed security system for your door.

I purchased this device after repeated attempts by burglars to break into our bicycle storage. After over two months of use, I haven't had to change the batteries (note that it uses non-standard batteries). It has provided me with a sense of security and peace of mind.

Purchased because can’t hear the front door open when in the kitchen, works well dozens of tunes to pick from and the minimum sound level is enough for me, maximum sound is very loud you would hear it in the back garden, only small issue was the battery tab was not present anywhere so not sure how long the battery has been activated for, strange size battery for the door contact as you can see in my photo so ordered a couple more, used screws ( my own ) rather than sticky pads for door contacts, fitted an working in 15 mins max, 5 ⭐️ from me…

Perfect for 1 year then stopped working . The sensor part is not working while the chimes part is still intact . Tried changing batteries in the sensor (battery cost a bit ) but still not working. Wish I could order just a sensor as it’s a waste to order the whole thing.Happy to update the review rating later if my query is resolved .

The quality is not good, I just used it for one month, one of them automatically fell off and broke directly, and the other one also failed to call in the second month. After checking, it was not a battery problem, but an internal wiring problem. It kept ringing when taken off, but there was no response when installed on the door. Very poor shopping experience
