Amazon Basics Mobile File Cabinet, Black, 20.71" D x 15.51" W x 24.29" H | With Lock, 3 Drawer

I am very impressed with the Amazon Basics 3 drawer mobile file cabinet after a week of use. It is very sturdy feeling. Drawers are mounted on slides and slide easily . The wheel attached to the front of the lower large file drawer moves with the drawer to keep the entire front of the unit from tipping when the heavy lower drawer is opened all the way out. The drawers are interlocked so that only one drawer can be opened at a time. The upper two drawers are very large and have the same inside dimensions: 5"H x 12.5"W x 19.5"D although the inner sides are only 3.25"H. The large bottom file drawer dimensions are 10.5"H x 12.5" W x 19.5" D although the inner sides are only 8"H. Overall outside dimensions are 24.25"H x 15.5"W x 20 7/8" D. It has four bottom wheels and the two front wheels can be locked although it is impossible to do so without lifting cabinet up to get at them. Cabinet comes with loose file support frame if you want to use hanging type file folders in bottom drawer. Includes lock with keys. No assembly required except for hanging file frame. Packaged well.

Nice cabinet, sturdy fabrication. Fit nice under my electric desk. Like a lot the safety feature that I can open two drawers at a time

The cabinet came fully assembled and on top of that, didn't realize there were wheels on the bottom which is helpful (could be I didn't read the product description fully, but was a nice surprise). Not much else to say, a good quality metal file cabinet, very happy with the purchase.

PROS: - Well built - Locks, comes with two keys - Soft drawer pulls (not cold metal) - Safety: open drawer at a time - Pencil tray stays put when opening and closing drawer - Rolls well, sturdy, smooth wheels - Drawers open the whole way, for easy access to the content in the back of the drawers - There’s a little resistance or “softness” to closing the drawers so they don’t slam shut - Packaged well for shipping. Not a scratch or flaw. - Amazing value for the price CONS: Just one. Even with wheels locked, the cabinet slides slightly on hardwood floors. It’s better after filling the bottom drawer with files, but still slides an inch or two when closing the drawers. (I added little rubber wedges behind the back wheels to eliminate the movement.) I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one if needed.

Looked at a LOT of file cabinets as I wanted a STURDY one with a one file drawer & a 2 top office supply drawers in it which I didn't need to put together - and this one met both of my requirements. A lot of the reviews I read on file cabinets mentioned problems with the cabinet being flimsy & arriving dented or being difficult to assemble. This file cabinet was well packaged in a solid box and was in perfect condition. Bottom drawer holds a good amount of pendaflex files and opens FULLY and very smoothly - as do the 2 top drawers. Fits perfectly under the side of my desk, and it's great to have 2 drawers to put miscellaneous office supplies in. You do need to put a "door stopper" on the back side of it if you don't want it to move around. Was a bit pricier than other ones I reviewed, but was well worth the price - you get what you pay for in this case. Highly recommend.

This was much cheaper but nicer looking than the one I was considering from Uplift. One of my favorite things about the wheel on the bottom drawer that stabilizes the whole unit when it's open. I also like that it arrived pre-assembled.

Just what I need and as advertised. The lock is easy to operate with the keys and the drawers are smooth to pull out and replace.

It is certainly a file cabinet, and it does arrive assembled. However, it is assembled of incredibly cheap material, incredibly poorly. I have: - Dents on the front of each drawer from the drawer is bolted on, but only on one side - A handle that just falls off - Drawers that don't line up - File rails that the Amazon Basics organizers slip right off of, and are designed such that hangers will definitely get stuck in the front and back - Wheels that lock in name only, and are remarkably difficult to engage or disengage Based on other reviews, it is unclear if I got a dud or if most people just aren't noticing/affected by these issues. It does basically function, and doesn't seem likely to fall apart any more any time soon. However, I would be shocked if a sturdier version of the same weren't available elsewhere for not much more.
