It is very difficult to find those early chapter books for children who are ready to read longer text, but not quite ready to reader full length chapter books. You find it in the Andy Shane books though. All of the books in the Andy Shane series have four chapters that link with the chapter before and after. The chapters are short and have some pictures for extra support. I highly recommend these books for my own two sons and my second grade students.

If you haven't discovered the Andy Shane series, you're missing out! It is very difficult to find those early chapter books for children who are ready to read longer text, but not quite ready to reader full length chapter books. You find it in the Andy Shane books though. All of the books in the Andy Shane series have four chapters that link with the chapter before and after.
