My trunk latch broke about four months ago…I have a 2017 Kia Forte. I made TWO appointments with the dealership here. The first one I waited an HOUR, then they told me they didn’t even have the part! Second time I didn’t have to wait an hour but about three minutes ago hen they came and told me they didn’t have the part yet again! (When I made both appointments, I told them what was wrong with my car, that my trunk would not shut and that I would need them to replace the latch.) well, needless to say, I did not make a third appointment nor will I ever with that place. I decided to take matters in my own hands and purchased this from Amazon. I was concerned because I don’t have any experience with trunk latch replacement, but thanks to the reviews and YouTube university, I can add “small auto part replacement “ to my resume. Seriously, it was easy to install. I didn’t have any trouble with it, and it was the right one for my trunk.

I like this trunk latch because it is heavy duty. It fit just right.
