LightView Pro 6 Wheel Rolling Base Floor Lamp With XL Magnifier

This item is well made. The base is very study and heavy so no concerns about tipping. The magnifying lens is very clear and strong. The retractable arm makes it easy to store in the closet. I appreciate the different light levels.

I have Macular Degradation and cannot see detail clearly. I used it for the first time yesterday, and foresee it as a fantastic tool for me to do close up crafts and tasks. It is very bright wit a dimmer if desired, and the magnification is clear and true. I tested it on my knitting and it was a big help. I made jewelry before my vision got so poor, and hopefully, this will enable me to do it again. It will help in many ways. I read some reviews that were negative, but my lamp is sturdy, has an abundance of arm adjustments that work just by moving the arm, the base is well balanced and on wheels . It also has a flip-down cover to keep it clean. I own both a desktop and handheld digital magnifier, and see this lamp as an extremely useful tool.

Bought for my wife, who loves to neddle point and do other arts and crafts. Base is heavy and the led light is nice and brite. Can be used with or without the magnifying glass. Stays were you put it. This is not to be moved around like you would see a Dentist move his tools. Put the light near your feet or behind you while sitting in the easy chair and then gently pull the head where you want it to be. Unscrew the glass/ light and adjust then easly tighten it up and this will keep the tool right where you want it. Can be set to 5 different levels of brightness. Controls are easy to find and use while sitting. I want one for my shop since she will not let me have hers. She is very happy and she can see all the fine details while neddle point sewing or even hand sewing. We even used it to megnify my finger, so that we could easily see the stiches that we removed.

Update. The usb cord is way too short at 4’. Can’t do much rolling at that length. I had to buy an extension cord. The lamp itself works good and the magnifier is clear and works great. I do wish the lamp remembered the dimmer setting each time you switch it on but it resets to about %80 brightness. The stand is beefy but the wheels are very cheap. I’d only use it on smooth flooring. I’m considering replacing the wheels so I can use it in my garage.

Best investment I have done in a long time and I'm going to give you why for the $130 I'd pay it in a heartbeat I'm a person who turns around I do painting I do cross stitch needlepoint quilting reading I do it all and you know I started the needle point and I made a 9 looked on this I put it together and everything and I looked I said I can't believe the mistakes I've done on it I'm 61 years old never thought my eyes would start weakening on me while they are and with this magnifying glass and the light on it it has a dimmer and it goes up and down and the extended pole goes up to five feet I'm not kid Neal I'm 5-3 know I'm 5-2 sorry and shrinking and I'm not kidding the thing is bigger than me only thing that I have to come up with if somebody can tell me I have Windows all over my place and skylights I know who can help me figure out how to cover the magnifying glass because of the sun doesn't smack right on it I have Sun all the way around inside my place if anybody has any ideas please drop a line I'm willing to take any suggestions but I give a 5-star for bright Tech and I will say this to their good quality I have outside solar lights with them I've had for 2 years so far and they're still running strong I have no complaints with this company whatsoever there they stand by their product this is January 8th 2020 I just received it today and I only started working on it for about 15 minutes that's how good this product is for me to even give it a review and I don't take I don't give review lightly this product is well worth the money

I am very pleased with this magnification lamp. My eyes are just not what they used to be, so I looked long and hard before purchasing this magnifying lamp. And it exceeded my expectations. It is very sturdy, moves easily, great magnification! I also really like that the brightness of the lamp can be adjusted. Overall I am very satisfied.

Assembly instructions incomplete. The Hand knob that tightens the suspension system to the post coming out of the rolling base doesn't thread into anything. I had to modify the male piece that fits into the post by driving a metric nut that I ground down to the appropriate size into the connection base of the lamp suspension system so that I could tighten the lamp suspension to the pole. Nice and sturdy but lamp and base can tip at extreme distances. I found the rolling wheels a bit sticky, as in another review, which can cause the lamp to tip if light is moved while the light is fully extended from the base. These may wear in and roll better with time. I purchased the higher magnification (2.25X) so focal length is a bit more shallow than the 1.75X model. I also use it as a reading light without magnification. Works fine. Cord on transformer plug only 58" long. Needs to be a couple of feet longer for my needs, so I use an extension.

Easy to put together. Great magnification. Really enjoy the different light levels. Using it for my cross stitch work.
