Worked flawlessly. Plugged it in and immediately it synced with my Mac. Good speed downloading all data from the CD I had.

For years I made DVD videos with music of all of our wonderful vacations but our new high tech tv doesn’t support a dvd player so this works super! Plug it into my computer then transfer the play onto my tv.

I purchased this drive twice. The first time, it stopped working almost immediately. The second time, it worked for a couple months and stopped working. I tired the usual methods for connecting this drive to my MacBook Pro and none worked. The drive is simply kaput! Warning: do not buy. A waste of money. If I could give it no stars I would.UPDATE 1/14/2025: This seller contacted me and offered a refund. I have waited a couple months. I accepted their offer but they did not follow-through and provide me with a refund. They ignored my reply accepting their offer. Purchase a drive from another seller. Hcsunfly is not to be trusted. I also reported them to Amazon who responded they would get back to me.UPDATE: 2/6/2025: Seller did not respond to additional email. Amazon said they would get back to me but did not. Amazon is slipping!

Works directly out of the box as plug & play. Used on my PC with Windows 7 and another with Windows 10. However, you must plug directly into a USB port on the computer and not an extension cable. Used to play videos and read Word and Excel files. Also wrote files to it and uploaded music CD to iTunes.

The instructions weren't updated for laptops with Windows 8.0 and above, but a few Google searches (and 30 min later) it turns out windows doesn't have the appropriate media player for this anymore. But you can download a VLC media player and it should work perfectly. Outside of those initial installation issues, it's really easy to use, just plug in and play. Plus it's really the perfect size. It makes a little noise, but not to an annoying degree. Mostly when you pause and play a DVD. I haven't used it for (and didn't buy it for) burning CDs or anything so not sure how well that'd work out. Acceptable value for the money, in my opinion. I'd buy it again.

I absolutely love this so much. I plug it into my MacBook Air and I can put my cds on my laptop and watch movies as well. I also have to add that I love when you aren’t using it you can unplug it and put the cord right back on the bottom. It is a great feature. It’s simple and small. Good to use if you have dvds and cds you wanna watch and listen to. Great for trips as well. I love how compact and light it is. It does what it needs to do and I have no worries.

I occasionally purchase CD’s and I rip them onto my computer. This did the job without spending an arm and a leg for it. It is small and light weight. I use it and put it away. I like that the cord clips into its own section on the bottom of the device. The connection is USB A AND USB C . I had no issues using it with my MacBook Air. It is not quiet. I thought it was loud. The rip speed is slow it took 7 minutes to rip a 12 song CD. I have not played a CD or DVD. For the price it does the job……

This product was working great and super smooth. Of course it was only 20 bucks so what can you expect? I was only looking to export images off of 3 Walgreens CDs and put them onto my iMac. It stopped working after the 2nd I ordered another just to get the job done, but I did contact support looking for a refund for the faulty one.
