Too big to small features
This is a 2D barcode/qrcode reader that works with a camera type sensor. Yes, it works, the manual is very complete, with the barcodes to configure its functions. Negative points: - Unnecessarily large for a product without internal moving elements; - The beep is quite loud even at the lowest volume; And the worst point is that we cannot deactivate the red leds, because the standby function that is in the manual is not available: this is understandable since this product does not have an infrared proximity sensor, so it must keep the leds always on, or completely off and being activated by the top button. If you don't mind the space it takes up on your desk + loud beep + LED always on or manual operation, this product will work for you.

Really fast
This thing picks up barcodes so fast! We haven’t tried it in a customer facing setting yet but at home, we were able to plug it up to our laptop and try multiple items, of varying barcode styles and clarity. We tried about ten things, all of which picked up on the very first swipe, many of which were faded or folded barcode stickers. It worked well with everything we threw at it, giving a clear audible beep when it does so. This is just as fast as the self checkout scanners at the big box stores, I’d even say it’s faster than those are. It’s made of good quality materials and it’s plug and play, ready to go. I’m honestly pleasantly surprised with this one. If anything janky happens when it’s put to the test in a more fast paced setting I’ll update my review, but from cursory experiments this is a really nice, really receptive barcode scanner. I wouldn’t put it anywhere near eye level though, as you shouldn’t anyway, but this thing is pretty bright.
