Avoid off brand inks.
Genuine Canon is the only way to go. Not cheap, but consistently great quality.

GOOD STUFF!
I have had my Canon Pixima Pro 100 for about seven years. In that period of time I have made hundreds of images. I have won over 10 prizes in competition for images made with this printer. I always use the ink manufactured by the maker of my printer. Like most other printer inks this is the most expensive fluid on the planet, but it does produce long lived images of great quality.
