Awesome machine
If you like the 909 sound then you should just try it out. It's such a bargain for all of these classic sounds with an updated feature list.

Almost great.
After having an original TR-909 for 30+ years, this is a frustrating miss. There's a lot to like about it. Then there are things that drive me crazy. The overall design is great. Layout, interface, connection options, all good. But the buttons are a nightmare. I mean they are awful. They're hard to press, with a strange stickiness and sponginess that makes it hard to feel when you've hit them, when you need to, so there's no accuracy in timing. And the weird lighting scheme on the step pads are confusing, with strange pink, white and flashing indicators... WTF? Then there's the button order you have to follow for certain functions, like copy and recording. Just not very intuitive. Maybe they'll come out with a follow-up that gets it right...

Botones y perillas grandes. Bien por Behringer.

Never owned a tr-909 so can't really properly compare, but I felt the bass drum even with it's 6 knobs was underwhelming. The rest of the sounds felt ok. I hate the pads, Uber cheap hard not great for live use. A real 909 uses typewriter like keys which would be 1000% better than these. Unit looks clean and is bigger than one may think on desk.
